“Wild”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 12, 2012

Still feels very wild and remote even though the birds are caged.

“Great Place To Visit, but Pricey”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2012

We enjoyed a few hours visiting the wildlife centre, however, it is expensive which would put it out of the reach of families with young children.

“Wallace & Gromit are disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2012

We were advised to stop off here on our drive from Napier to Wellington, because of the café. We did just that, and the café is indeed very nice. But then we paid to have a look at the nature reserve, and wished we hadn’t bothered. Several aviaries, half of which were empty. Yes, there were a lot of eels, and we saw two kiwi in a specially darkened hut, but really not worth the money, sorry.
