“Worth the trip!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013

Took a day trip to North and Middle Caicos. After stopping at Indian Cave and getting eaten alive by mosquitos, we arrived at Daniels Cafe sweaty and bitten. Small and unassuming, the cafe had a feel of arriving at someone's home. We were greeted by four dogs first and then by Daniel's son Devon who was cooking to some Reggae. He was funny and friendly, telling stories of his travels and very excited to prepare the special of the day for us. We had fresh pan fried snapper, rice and beans and the best conch fritters! Really amazing, fresh food made with care! Daniel and Devin both milled about the cafe chatting while we ate. Really special place. If you can make it through the mosquitos (Daniel even had his own private stash of deet, illegal in the US, that he shared with us to fend off the swarms!) enjoy a meal at Daniel's. It was worth the trip (and the bug bites!)

“Great food...great view...great service”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 14, 2013

We went to Daniel's for lunch. We were the only ones there for a few minutes and the next thing you know, almost every table was full. We had conch and it was excellent. Huge portions. The bread is to die for. We tried several of the hot sauces provided & they were great. Daniel mingled with everyone and even showed us some fresh caught blue crabs he was going to fix that evening. Wish we could have stayed.

“Best Conch Fritters.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

My boyfriend and I stopped into Daniel's after buying a gift at the Co-op next door. We only wanted a snack, having had a packed lunch on a deserted beach. We ordered the conch fritters and sat and chatted with Devon, listening to a fantastic African Rastafarian band whose name he told me and has since slipped my mind. We chatted a bit about Atlanta and conch and such. We were the only ones in the restaurant, but that wasn't surprising since we were the only ones at most of the places we stopped in Middle Caicos. The conch fritters were the best I have had (and I've eaten quite a lot over the years). There is just enough breading, the seasoning was spot on, and they were cooked to perfection. After we were done and needed to move on, Devon sent us on our way with a few extra along with a piece of fried fish for our drive back to port. If you find yourself in North or Middle Caicos, Daniel's must be on your list. And have the fritters. Seriously. They're that good.

“Fantastic experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 14, 2013

We stopped in for dinner during our three day stay on Middle. We were the only couple there, and had the chance to sit and talk with Devon for most of the meal. He did a fanstastic job of making our red snapper. We were also thankful for the deserts that his girl made, along with some fresh fruit.
We returned the next day for lunch, and enjoyed the best conch fritters of our trip. We again sat with Devon and had a great chat. Everyone on Middle was very friendly for the most part, and Devon was a fine example of this.
I would recommend checking out the trail/road to Wild Cow Run, then taking the shore-line trail back until you hit Daniels. Park in the sand and crab a cold beer while Devon shares his wisdom.
