“Great Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

Just back from staying the weekend here, yes the hotel could do with a little tlc but this adds to the character of the place, but you couldn't fault the staff who were all very helpful and cheery, the rooms are clean and warm, food excellent and the views are amazing, lovely, location is brilliant seeing the deer outside the hotel as well was a bonus.

Would definitely recommend the hotel and can't wait for our next visit there.

The hotel is in need of a good clean and a lick of paint. It was £75 room only, not worth that. The room looks like it needed renovated a long time ago.On the plus side the Lady on reception was very helpfull, very nice,as was the young girl serving at breakfast.Evening meal was good and breakfast was all you could ask for.If your hill walking or climbing then this is ok for an over nighter, but if you want a night away with your partner give this place a miss.

It ticked all the 3 B's for us. we were walking through from Rannoch station to Bridge of Orchy and had booked a double ensuite. Bath that was huge and had copious amounts of piping hot water. Fell asleep for an hour in this swimming pool of hot water, woke up and topped up with more hot water! Brilliant!! The bed was as comfortable as any I have slept in, including my own! Breakfast was very good and complete with porridge. We had a hearty dinner in the vast empty residents lounge and you could find a wee spot to yourself in many of the hotels warren like public rooms. Staff are magic and very warm and a special shout out to the two young lasses helping out at breakfast, being mentored by whom we thought to be the owner/ manageress. Keep up the good work girls. Accepting well behaved dogs was a bonus but watch for the deer outside the hotel! All in all, a very good Saturday night and will plan to return.

Room Tip: Room 9 has a splendid view of the entrance to Glencoe and is a very big room for a double. Loads of...

Cracking location and lovely staff as well, very helpful and friendly.

The food I have to say was great for the price, no complaints at all

The room was pretty shabby however as was the overall decor, think the running theme on tripadvisor is the place needs cash spent on it which is pretty accurate

Still moderate value for money and I would stay again, just fails to impress though
