“Dont go if you need sleep!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

Turning up at 9pm, needing a room for one night due to an argument, the receptionist tells me and my boyfriend the only available room is 80 euros. 2 women go in a room with my card ad come out smirking saying it has been declined even though i had more than 80 euro in there. after going to a cash point we expected a more than standard room. We were very disappointed to find a very uncomfortable mattress, the shower is impossible unless you stand in the middle of the floor it might reach you! I couldn't sleep until 4am and by half 7, kids screaming, people talking loudly down corridors and finding out we must be directly above the restaurant with chairs squeaking and banging carrying on until we had to leave. However we did only stay the night...would not recommend.

Dear rachel_lines,

We regret not meeting their expectations because of the time of entry and short notice of a reservation could not accommodate you in another room that was to their liking. In our facilities we ask our clients a civic, sorry for the small inconvenience of your stay and hope to see you soon with us. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Best Regards,

We stayed for a long weekend in May; breakfast was typical continental (i.e. croissants, rolls etc) but also had cereals and excellent coffee machine. Rooms we clean and modern. Staff were very helpful calling us taxis etc. and arranging a very early breakfast on last day. Parking is good with limited free parking on street but a secure underground car park on opposite side of road. Some way from centre of Torrox but it a pleasant walk about 1 mile, although shops and cafes right next to hotel. Also the rear of hotel leads direct to nice beach. Very cheap via our web booking. Will definatley use again.

Have just spent four nights at the hotel as part of an education conference. The staff were very nice and helpful, when we saw them in the town, off duty, they said hello, well Hola!!!
Room as clean and comfortable, the shower was a bit off and we had to hand hold it to stop it showing the whole room.
Food was buffet style and quite nice...my only complaint, the sea was too noisy at night and no matter how much you told it to be quite it did not respond!!!!!!

hotel was clean etc but me and my boyfriend were made so unwelcome by the locals and other guests, we could tell that they didn't like us, things like they stopped talking, waited for us to walk past then started whispering to each whilst looking back at us, it cost 15 Euros to go anywhere half decent and it got to the point were we ended up ringing Thomas Cook and booking a different hotel which cost us £243 plus 100 Euros in the taxi there, only thing good about the place was the air con, also the manager was really nice, he tried his best to help us and makes us happy.

The hotel was lovely more like a 4 star if only our room had a kitchen, this proved very hard when going self catering. However the views were amazing looked right out on to the beach and sea. The area however was el morche not torrox. It is about a 40 minute walk along the beach or main road to the main strip of torrox, if you walk along the beach when you think you have come to the end walk along the sand & you will see the next strip. The area el morche was very spainish so if you cant speak it it isn't the best. however the beach in el morche is a lot better then torrox so we ended up staying on the beach by the hotel in the day then in the evening walking down to torrox for tea. If you are feeling lost with all the spainish the best bar is Caribe owned by a lovely English family. All in all it was a lovely relaxing hotel you just have to be up for the daily walk.

The hotel is located just in front of the beach. It is a little bit old and some parts need a renovation, such as the elevator, the breakfast room and the bathroom.
The breakfast was very simple and the quality was regular. The main problem was the waitress who did not have all the things properly set and was a bit rude.
The staff in general was very nice, polite and helpfull.

Room Tip: try to stay in the upper floor with an ocean view

Make sure your flight arrival early in moring and departure late eving, The hotel is about 50 km for Malaga airport. The bus jouney will take over 1 hrs. The hotel located 15- 20 min walk to the heart of Torrex center. Make sure that you get sea view room otherwide better stay other cheap hotel in heart of Torrox because it abit far to walk and not fun to paid for taxi ride all the time. The best sea View room is on the 3 th floor , pretty amazing with the view and can hear weav all the time. in the room is no fridge it good they clear your rooms everyday.
It perfect for a short holiday weeked most tourist here is spanish and pension from UK,Germany. But is nice too if you want relax and chill out by your own

Room Tip: Ask for seaview room on 3th floor
