This restaurant was recommended by a travel blog and it was a very, very good choice. We asked the waiter for recommendation and he suggested a set of seafood dishes for starter. A set for two people was enough for 4 people actually - each of us could taste several dishes and we still had room for further treats. This starter included clams, shrimps, mussels, squids, octopus salad and some more. As for pizza: it's very satiating - it has thick dough and a lot of topping. But when in Sicily, you should definitely try cous-cous dishes. In Dolfino do try the fish cous-cous - it's great, honest and tasty. But you may resign of the cous-cous cold salad - not the top choice in Dolfino. What you have to try is seafood: both raw and cooked or fried - it's top quality. Service is very lively, friendly and helpfull - even if not everyone speaks English. Location is very convenient, close to the beach and the promenade. Prices are resonable. Do try when in San Vito lo Capo.

I should have looked at the reviews before going there. Average food. They bring you in with a low cost menu and then they don't have parts of it or that you need to pay extra. ... avoid it...

The food was good, but our initial experience was poor. We were 3 customers & asked for water first of all while we chose from the menu. A piece of paper was slipped "discreetly" on the edge of our table. I looked at it & saw that we were being charged for 4 covers(we were only 3), 2 bottles of water (we only had 1) We ordered white wine & on pouring it, we found it was red!!! We called the waiter over & showed him the mistakes-he said "OK" & scribbled the mistake out. No apology or offer to change our wine. My husband went out to the man on the door & created a fuss(they didn't like that as possible new customers were listening) Still no apology, but eventually after our meal(which was good) had been served, a complimentary bowl of chips arrived. Tip - CHECK YOUR BILL HERE!

This was the dinner from a sitcom! We were amused at the beginning by the theatrical performance of overly serious waiters crowding to serve us, until everything started to go wrong. First, they brought the main course before the starters, then they crowded again around our table pushing us to finish it. Then they brought the burnt chewy and unable to cut through pizzas. As we were in the middle of our conversation, two waiters visited our table exactly four times in less than two minutes reminding us that we should eat and even asked what was the problem that we hadn't started eating as yet. One waiter leaned over our heads into the plate and told us: "Mangia!" (Eat!). It felt as if we were put on a food threadmill. We just couldn't believe it! At some stage we were looking around to see if we were on a candid camera. The food was quite poor and pizzas were not really edible. But we surely paid them well! If you are thinking you'll have a good dinner here, think again.

This was one of the classic tourist traps that we fell for (our own fault:) as we just randomly walked there without having researched or just looked around for a bit longer. The menu was really long and that's already not a good sign but we were being too polite to leave at that moment, so we stayed. My boyfriend had cous cous and I went for pasta, which was OK but nothing amazing whereas the cous cous dish was just poor. For the price you pay it's really not a good deal provided the choice you have around, so best look around and avoid this place altogether.
