“Perfect hotel near the airport”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2013 via mobile

This hotel was perfect for our last 2 nights in rome. It is very clean, the room was spacious enough for 3 people, there was a small kitchen and the beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was a nice mix of warm pastries, cereal and ham and veggies.
What made this place special though was the staff (and the free shuttle of course). When we arrived around 10pm the girl at reception checked us in, then asked if we had eaten and explained that the pizzeria just in front of the hotel would close soon 'so hurry' or suggested a restaurant close by that was open later.
We used the shuttle service on both days we were there because we took the train from Fiumicino during our last day in rome and then of course flew home from Fiumicino the next day. This was no problem at all and the staff was very accommodating.
Further, they were very helpful about transportation into rome and explained to me about the bus to termini which I never knew about and is 10euros cheaper than the train.
Overall this hotel was exactly what we needed for our last days in rome. The free shuttle and very friendly, helpful staff make it worth returning to.

New, spacious, minimally decorated and a good choice for our last night in Rome. Close to the airport makes leaving a breeze. I feel that this place is good just for that. Leaving. It's inexpensive and a good deal for families because it's actually a one bedroom apartment. And breakfast was quite generous.

The Amelindo hotel has the BEST STAFF ever! They offer a free shuttle to and from the airport (but don't be cheap and not offer a tip to the driver who handles your bags without asking!) Gustavo loves his job and you can not help but feel his enthusiasm. I would definitely recommend this hotel as a business trip or before or after your trip into the busy life of Rome!

We stayed at this hotel for a night following out arrival in Rome.

We only paid 79 Euros which is very reasonable by Romes standards.

We were collected from the airport and returned there the following day to the car hire area. The driver was very helpful and took us all the way to the car hire place which was a fair distance out of his way and would have taken us forever to find.

The apartment was a very good size and had everything you would reasonably need. It was very clean, modern and of a high standard.

The only fault I could find was that the selection of food for breakfast was very limited and it could have been better.

There is a very good (and cheap) Pizzeria opposite the hotel.

The Amelindo itself is a pleasant business-executive type medium-stay facility with easy access to the airport by free hotel shuttle. Getting picked up at FCO is a bit more complicated as they pick up in a parking lot arrived at through a rather tortuous path up and down steps through the airport (we came from the train station). BUT, it gets an extra star because a few blocks (5 minutes' walk) from the Amelindo is the RistOrigano, which (very improbably) is one of the best Italian restaurants we've ever eaten in.

A group of 6 of us booked this hotel based upon it's proximity to the airport and the free shuttle service. We didn't have high expectations based on what we had to pay and the somewhat residential location but were pleasantly surprised when we walked in to find large, spacious rooms with kitchen facilities and a living area. The place was immaculate and the front office staff was unbelievably accommodating. Free Wi-Fi was great and we were able to walk across the street for dinner and then have free shuttle service for the 5 minute trip to the airport in the morning! Would definitely recommend for anyone who needs a place to stay before or after a trip to the airport.

This is a great hotel that is clean, large and spacious. Its like a very modern ikea unit. You have a kitchen and fridge so you can save money on food. The drawback is that you HEAR everything. Dog barking, people moving chairs over your head and the people talking in the next room. It's like they were in the livingroom. You need to use earplugs for sure. Nice breakfast and convienent shuttle to the airport. You do need to reserve your shuttle a day out from the hotel.
