We stayed here two nights ago and having read some of the recent adverse reports, were at bit concerned as we are an elderly couple, one of whom is disabled..............we need not have worried.
We followed instructions posted on this site and had no difficulty finding the hotel navette, the driver helped load the luggage.
At reception Vanessa could not have been more helpful, there was a minor problem with the prepayment process but it was resolved without trouble. Also we were allowed to stay late in our room, a big plus, as our flight wasn't until 9.0pm..............again thank you Vanessa.
Of course this kindness may not be possible when the hotel is fully occupied.
The room was clean and bright if a bit too warm for us and the beds comfortable. Hotel staff readily turned off the heating.
Very little aircraft noise even with the window open.
Everywhere else that we saw in the hotel was well decorated and bright.
Some idiot had seen fit to remove the metal plug from our bath but we reported that to housekeeping.....we like showers anyway.
Breakfast was more than adequate, self service for either hot or cold food, I liked the scrambled eggs and especially the coffee, from the machine but the best I have ever had in a hotel.
If you are staying a few nights and fancy a change from the hotel restaurant, there is another one over the road or a Chinese restaurant, really good and inexpensive, 400 yds up the road. Turn left out of the front door, it's the other side of the road past the petrol station.
There is only one thing to find fault with and that is the three steps up to the first floor room level. They are steep and difficult for anyone with walking and holding problems or someone getting cases down to reception. A ramp would be a great improvement.
There is a wheelchair lift though, we didn't see it but could have used that...........
We are staying here again at the end of April as it is so convenient for the airport.
All in all a pleasant stay.
