“Perfect for getting to the airport!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

An absolutely beautiful B&B, with great service to and from the airport at all hours of the day (they arrange taxi service for late night or extremely early flights). This B&B isn't close to anything else in Rome, though- it's best for getting to or from the airport.
The host was extremely friendly, kept everything very clean and was very helpful in planning our travel arrangements. The breakfast was very good too.

Excellent service, shuttle was great to have, nice people, just a few minutes from the airport. Very responsive to emails. Not sure how anyone had problems finding the shuttle area at the airport. We emailed ahead to say we would need the first shuttle in the morning sure to an early flight and it was no problem. We drove there the night before and then dropped the rental car at the airport the same night and were picked up by the shuttle

I had a connecting flight to Canada and by pure chance came across Villa Rosita. The place is impeccably clean, very spacious and Federico, the host, goes out of his way to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Just a 15 minute walk from a couple of good restaurants and cafeterias. The proximity to the airport makes it extremely convenient and Federico will also call for you directly at the airport, making it all hassle-free. Thumbs up to Villa Rosita - highly recommended!

Like other reviewers, we picked the Villa as a convenient connection point between our cruise ship terminus at Civitiavacchia and Rome Airport at Fiumicino. The ship arrived at 6AM and we had an 9AM non-stop flight back to the States. There were several high-speed, high-price, high-stress options to make the connection, but we programmed an extra day and used the excellent and very reasonable rail service from Civitiavecchia to Rome Termini (main rail station), had a leisurely lunch, then took rail on to Fiumicino where we had booked an overnight at the nearby Villa Rosita. As advertised, Federico picked us up at the airport and sped us to his residential B&B. This was low season, so we were given an entire 5-room guesthouse for the night (he has other single-room accomodations in the main house). The entire establishment is spotlessly clean and very quiet in spite of the closeness to the airport. We walked 2 blocks to a supermarket to make an end-of-trip picnic, but there was a number of nearby restraurants available. Fererico woke us with a knock on the door, and had an early morning buffet and box lunches waiting for us before driving us back to the airport in plenty of time for our flight. We plan to return to the Villa to take more time to explore the antiquities around Ostia and the nearby seaside attractions. Strongly recommend this alternative method of arriving and departing Rome

I came across the Villa Rosita while searching the internet for overnight accommodation near Rome airport, before transferring the next morning to Civitavecchia to join a Cruise ship.
My particular problem was that we would be arriving in Rome Fiumicino airport at 0600, after a 22 elapsed hours flight from Sydney via Bangkok. None of the major hotels offered a check-in before 1400, some even later. Sitting in hotel lobby, tired and travel-stained , waiting 6-8 hours for a room to be available, is not my favourite sport.
So I took a gamble that a small (4 bedroom) pension would be more flexible than a large hotel and made a reservation well in advance. Fortunately it paid off.
A week before our arrival on Nov 18 2012, mine host Frederico emailed me with comprehensive instructions on how to proceed on arrival at Rome, a phone number to call and the precise place to wait for his shuttle. We collected our check-in bags about 0630, called Frederico and proceeded to the rendezvous point. Shortly after 7am he arrived and took us to Villa Rosita and ensconced us on a comfortable couch. Then turning to a gleaming, hissing, steaming expresso machine, he made us fresh coffee and served it with some tasty biscotti..
All 4 rooms were occupied and for the next 2 hours Frederico was busy, checking people out (they were all Italian I noted and seemed to be regulars) and driving them to the airport.
During this time we dozed comfortably on the couch and at 0900 the housekeeper arrived and immediately started preparing our room, and by 0940 it was available. Actually it was a mini-suite, entered into small lobby with a large bedroom to the left and a fully tiled modern bathroom to the right.
The villa itself is delightful with a most pleasing ambience. As I mounted the couple of steps on to the beautifully tiled and decorated verandah, I felt as tho’ I would have been more appropriately dressed in a toga and sandals!
There has been enough favourable comments by others to make it unnecessary for me to extol its virtues further. Suffice it to say that if you interested in staying, book it early.
The only niggle I can think to make is that the shower cubicle, like many other these day, is fitted with a wall mounted tube of bathing gel, no soap. Me, I’m a soap and washer man and travel with my own, but the shower cubicle had neither soap dish nor place to hang the washer. This required multiple openings of the shower door to place or retrieved my soap and washer from the adjacent basin, with consequent impact on the bathroom floor.
But I can live with that for such a charming place and such excellent service at such a reasonable price.

I was connecting between flights and was looking for a reasonably priced place to stay for 1 night. I was picked up and dropped off at Fiumicino with no problem or extra charge. I also had a nice chat with Federico while in the van travelling to and from the airport. The rooms were very spacious and clean. I had great dinner at a local restaurant and received a discount because of stayng at Villa Rosita. Breakfast consisted of coffee and a roll, but was fine for me. Given the price, location, convenience, size & cleanliness of the rooms and excellent service, I would highly recommend staying at Villa Rosita if you are connecting flights overnight through Fiumicino.

I stayed one night, before my flight and the place is gorgeous. nice clean rooms, tasty breakfast and very quiet. The location did not matter much to me since i stayed there the night before the flight but it is pretty close to some restraunts and bars. Extremely hard to get there, we didn't get even close until we called the owner and he came to us and we drove after him to the hotel. Recommend warmly.
