“Tucked away off the street.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

The lord Edward is positioned behind the Silken Thomas/Flanagans complex, but there are adequate signs to find it. We stayed here when we came to the Punchestown races and this was as close as we could get/afford. The room wasn't spacious, but we have been in smaller ones, and it was clean. They have yoga classes on the premise in the evening if you feel the need. The breakfast is offered across the way at Flanagans and there were several selections to choose from. All the employees we dealt with were very nice and helpful, although, we didn't see much of them due to the position of the rooms behind the restaurant/pub complex. There is no front desk in the room area.

Just back from a brilliant weekend in Kildarre. Stayed at the Lord Edward which was first class. Rooms were spotless and well equipped. Food in the Chapter 16 restaurant was first possibly the best food I've tasted! have a lovely breakfast with homemade wheaten bread. The greetings in the three pubs was very warm and friendly and the band that entertained us Saturday night was outstanding. Also can not speak highly enough of all of the staff, with a special mention for veronica. The girl who greeted us and showed us our room could not have been more helpful. Will definetly return.

I recently stayed in the Lord Edward with my family we booked 2 rooms a family room and a double room, the family room was lovely and spacious with plenty of room for 4 people and the double room was also quite spacious and comfortable.
Beata who seems to run the B&B as she is who I dealt with when I booked she was there to welcome us on arrival and say goodbye on our departure, she is absolutely brilliant, so helpfull and very professional, she makes you feel welcome from the minute you arrive!!

Thanks for a lovely stay!!
We will be back!!!

Stayed at the Lord Edward with family for one night.I wasn't expecting much from this B & B but found it to be over all very nice.

Room was very clean and warm with very comfy beds. Only downfall was that there was cupboard door. (Room 41)

Would happily stay there again.

we stayed there for one night. the B/B is located at the back of a PUB/ restaurant / nite club.
the room was spotless, with very good bed linen and mattress. good tv, tea/ coffee facilities, and free wifi. 2 vouchers for 2 pint in the local pub was a nice gesture. great breakfast served in the morning by friendly staff. All staff in the b/b and pub were nice except for a grumpy barman who must have been having a bad day to be so ignorant to us !
Will definitely be back. B/b located just off the square in Kildare town, plenty of other pubs/ restaurants around. Kildare village shopping centre 5mn drive away

Room Tip: pick up a room upstairs which do not give view to the car park. Week end nite club goers could spoil...
