These rooms are brand new, they started to operate since July 2010. We found about them through the internet and arrived there in August 2010 (14-20). We made reservations for two rooms, one for my parents and one for my family (couple with a 2 year old).
The rooms were as described on the internet, as we saw them in the photos. Plus their view was excellent. From the balcony you can see the sea, and from the other side (the entrance) you can catch a glimpse of the old city. The premises consist of 8 rooms, all built with a view to the sea.
The hotel has a pool, we didn't make use of it because our son had the flu, but we noticed that they had someone clean it everyday. You can have a look of the pool on their internet site. From the pool area you can see the sea, which is 8-10 meters away, actually on the other side of the road.
The rooms themselves are tastefully decorated, all with bright colors. Plus each room has many closets, very useful when you travel with kids and carry so many things. You can also find a small fridge. The bathrooms are medium-sized but adequate, with a shower cabin. The only thing missing was a stool, but I am sure the owners will take care about it.
For our son they provided for a baby cot, with a real mattress... (6-7 cm. thick). As we have travelled a lot these 2 years with him, we rarely find cots with mattresses in hotel rooms or rooms to let... only in a 5 star hotel did we find one, this year...
The rooms as well as the public places are cleaned daily and well taken care of.
The breakfast area is by the pool, they serve you toast with ham and cheese, a variety of marmelades and honey, orange juice, yoghurt, filter coffee, but if you have any special request, the owner, Eletheria, is more than willing to help.
For example, as we were travelling with our son, she provided anything we asked for, and she made our stay a very pleasent one.
When needed, she even informed us about the hospital pediatricians, and she made an appointment on our behalf.
Some other pros of these rooms:
- You can have kitchen use, if you ask for it.
- A shaded parking lot is provided for free.
- The establishment has a night guard.
- There is a very cosy bar close to it, we even went there a couple of times, but when we slept we never heard noise or music, or felt any discomfort from it.
I also have to comment on its location. It is not in the center of the city, it is situated on the beach, next to Kyparissia's camping. You can walk to the city center (about 10-15 mins.) or use the car. It is a nice place, not crowded- suitable for a relaxing vacation- and it has quite a few taverna's on a short distance (Ask for "Billy's" place, they serve excellent greek food, lunch and dinner).
And last but not least, I have to comment that it is definitely value for money...
Eleftheria and Soulis, thank you very much, we will definitely come back next summer!
