The Nosara Beach House is centrally located and easy walking distance to all of the Playa Guiones area. It's as close to the maritime zone, ie gorgeous beach, as one can be, and so affords a beautiful easy walk down a sandy path to every morning surf and evening sunset. The guest house/apartments are wonderfully quiet, tranquil and serene - away from any noise and bustle. I have stayed here many times and have come to think of it as the Pensione Bertolini of Nosara. A secret, hidden gem.

We have been going to Nosara for 15 years because we own property there and found The Nosara Beach House a few years ago. We try to stay there every time that we visit Nosara because we love it. The location is great, the rooms are very comfortable and clean, attention is wonderful. I highly recommend it.

My husband, 21 year old daughter, and myself stayed 4 nights at the Nosara Beach House in the upstairs 2 bedroom apartment. We had a comfortable king size bed and there were 2 twin beds in our daughters room. She also had a small sink, nice closet and a safe in her room. Our kitchen was well stocked with anything that you would need to cook in, which we did a few times. We had a/c, which is an option. The grounds with a pool were just beautiful and the grounds were very quiet most of the time. A wedding party group was staying next door, so they were just having a good time, also. A very neat path takes you to the beach....we found shade when we needed it under some palms placed over wooden beams. Very relaxing place with waves every day that we were there. And Leah is the sweetest person. She is full of information about Nosara and was always so helpful! And Sadie was so very nice too. It was a well chosen place to stay in Nosara--close to everything, privacy, relaxation, pool, beach, birds, monkeys--you got it all.

Room Tip: You would be happy with any of the rooms.

We were 4, in a two bedroom apartment, with a kitchen, and we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay. Sadie was super kind and helpful to us. The pool was lovely. It is a very short walk to the beautiful beach. The waves are good for surfers and nice for swimming too, but there are no trees near the beach, no shade, in case you don't want too much sun. We were without a car. Taxis are expensive, as they have to come all the way from Nosara, a slow drive on the bumpy roads. The refuge near the Lagarta Hotel is excellent for birdwatching. Of course, there are also birds to see in the immediate vicinity of Nosara Beach House. I have included a few photos of them.

We stayed in the 2-bedroom apartment. It is spacious, tastefully decorated, and well-equipped. Steps to Playa Guiones along a short path, and walkable to the mini-mart, Guilded Iguana, Rising Sun, Casa Romantica and others. Tranquil pool shared by the few units is well maintained and frequented by hummingbirds and iguanas.

Intimate, quiet little boutique hotel just a few steps away from the beach. The owner, Leah, has created the perfect atmosphere. The rooms are squeaky clean, simply yet tastefully furnished, with everything you need to relax and enjoy this beautiful beach community. Tropical foilage surrounds the pool, and makes for nice views from your room. We stayed in one of the small ground level rooms, and it was just perfect. Upstairs, there is a bigger 2 bedroom unit available. It's a great location, within walking distance of several restaurants, but far enough away to ensure a quiet stay. This is ideal for a couple or someone seeking solitude. No pool "scene", no music, the only noise you'll hear is occasional splashing and conversation from the pool next door (which is a more child-oriented, bigger hotel called Casa Romantica) and of course, the monkeys and birds! Leah can help you with recommendations on dining, activities, and she has boogie boards at the property you are free to use, which was a nice touch. There is a resort nearby (Harmony) with a lovely spa, also within walking distance. We just loved it and can't wait to go back!

Having traveled to Nosara Costa Rica for years there is a little known beach front hotel called The Nosara Beach Hotel. It sits as close to the beach as is permissible adjacent to the maritime zone in this quaint beach front town on the pacific coast of Costa Rica. It is a small Boutique type hotel with only 3 studios and 2- two bedroom apartments all with their own kitchens and air conditioning. A very nice pool and beautiful landscaping. The private shaded path to the beach sets the tone for your early morning walks and surfs or the customary evening sunset countdowns. The accomodations are large, clean and nicely decorated with handmade carvings and bed spreads. This quiet and very private setting truly is a jewel in the jungle.
