“What a gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 31, 2013

We spent two nights here and would happily have stayed longer if time had allowed.
Denise and Malcolm are great hosts providing a warm and friendly atmosphere with all the small details and extras that go to make your stay special.......yummy scones and homemade jam to welcome us amongst them. Excellent breakfast to start the day off.
We had the back room with the deck, great to sit out when you get back from a day out and about. There is a great view of the bay from the guest lounge which we had to ourselves being the only guests at the time.
There is plenty to do in the area, Malcolm made several helpful suggestions. We had a great walk at 'the north end' of the peninsula...the coastal scenery is spectacular

Room Tip: The back room gives you the best of both views as you can see the bay from the lounge.however for...

Denise and Malcolm were wonderful hosts, its the small details, the little extras that go such a long way, especially when you compare it to hotel/motel experiences. We loved the room, so comfortable with exquisite bedding. The breakfast was superb and plentiful, and the garden with all of the fruit trees is so relaxing. The icing on the cake was the views over the bay. We would recommend this B and B to everyone, and will be returning in the future.

Thank you so much for your kind comments. Whilst we always do our very best to make sure our guests have a comfortable stay, it is the interaction with our guests that we value most highly. We loved having you stay with us and enjoyed your company tremendously. We both look forward to your return visit.

A comfortable and well equipped B&B. Denise and Malcolm were excellent hosts providing a warm friendly atmosphere with some really appreciated extras.

The B&B is a short walk to the town where you'll find plenty of restaurants. YUM serves up pretty large starters - enough to feed an army!

Denise & Malcolm are happy to impart local knowledge - the Driving Creek Railway is a must and the beaches are superb.

Would certainly stay again.

My wife and I stayed here for thre nights at the end of a 7 week trip to Australia and New Zealand. It was the kind of place that makes you want to come back. The B & B was charming, clean and quiet( We had the back room) and since we were the only guests at the time we had full access to the upstairs guest lounge. We were in easy walking distance to Coromandel Town for shopping and dining.Malcom and Denise were great hosts and went out of their way to make sure we had a good time. Malcom a golfer like myself, found some clubs for me and we played 18 at the local course. Malcom cooks a very good breakfast and we rarely had need for lunch. This is one of the best places we ever stayed, not only in New Zealand, but everywhere.

I thoroughly enjoyed my two nights stay. The hosts made me feel very welcome and provided good tips about activities in the area. Lots of care is given to detail - especially the breakfast was great (home-baked bread, self-made jam etc)! The location is also good - only 5 minutes easy walking to the town centre. Would certainly stay again.

Delightful home just a few minutes walk from the centre of the equally enchanting Coromandel town. Malcolm and Denise are the perfect hosts.
Bed fabulously comfy and lovely linen and towels. The whole house is spotless and beautifully decorated, modern and bright. All the little touches make the stay special. Bathrobes, slippers, box of hankies, the homemade cake on arrival and the lovely guest lounge/kitchen with fridge and tea/coffee making equipment. Free wifi was really useful. And breakfast is a real treat round the big communal table with the other guests. Home made preserves, home grown tomatoes and tasty fresh fruit bowl with Denise's homemade Greek yoghurt. Denise and Malcolm's love of New Zealand and their local knowledge help to make the stay special. The local beaches they recommended were really fabulous, quiet and unspoilt. We just wished we could have stayed longer!!! It was a real wrench to leave after our two night stay, we felt so thoroughly at home in our room at the back of the house with our own large and private balcony overlooking the garden. All the rooms were lovely though. When we return I won't mind which one we get. The front is larger with an amazing view of the sea but the back one did have that charming balcony . . .
