After reading bad reviews I was hesitant at what to expect. The only negative I can think of is the rooms. We travel to All Inclusives often and the room was the most tired we had seen, but that is the only negative about this resort. The staff is excellent, they truly care about the guests having a good time. The food and drinks were above average, but there are not as many options as other resorts. I could see how someone staying here for over a week could grow tired of it, but we stayed for 5 days and never had a bad meal. The pools and waterslide were clean, the beach never had seaweed as I had previously read. I would compare the rooms to a holiday Inn, not luxurious but got the job done. The staff was so great it made up for any "tiredness" of the decor. They truly enjoyed working at Coconut Bay and it shows. For the price it can't be beat. We would go back again in a heartbeat! We did the ATV tour, the Zip Line Rainforest tour, and the Catamaran tour. This island is so beautiful spend your money touring it and not on your room. We had our 3 children with us (ages 10, 8 and 6) and they ranked it higher than the Disney Cruise.

We had a very nice honeymoon there! The Coconut Bay Resort has 3 pools, 2 water slides and a very attentive staff. Michi at the front desk, Kikish the hostess at Coconut Walk , as well as Gibbs and Maxwell were among the staff we grew to depend on. DJ Jason was a very good emcee at the nightly lobby events.
Coconut Walk offered a fantastic variety of food. There's also an Italian and Chinese restaurant on the 2nd floor for quieter, romantic dinners. Tours are easy to book thru them (the Zipline Rainforest Adventure is a must. The 4-hour snorkeling tour is not - try to find one that takes you out on a boat).
Being very close to the airport, we were able to get a pretty full day in before we left (for a relatively small fee to stay beyond checkout time). We had a really nice time there!
Only complaint: the shower in our room (South 333) would go from hot to cold to hot again, so it was difficult to shower comfortably. It was a little better in South 337.

We stayed at the coconut bay from 12 June - 26 June 2008. My husband, myself and 2 children (aged 3 and 7 years old) could not fault anything about the resort. There is so much to do from the water park, to the beach to just relaxing by the pool. All of the staff are friendly and made us all feel very pampered. The food was lovely, with so much choice. There are have 3 restaurants and a snack bar all of which serve great food and with helpful staff. There are lots of bars including a swim up bar, a firm favourite with my children. The kids club staff are caring and do a lot with the children. My son loved coconut painting! There is entertainment every night, and themes nights too. I really could not recommend this hotel highly enough. We simply had the best holiday ever.

My son and I spent 6 days at the resort 6/28-7/3.. I am 40's and my son is 14. Check in was very smooth and the bell hop took our bags to the room. Also, a real plus is that the airport transfer is provided at no charge. There's plenty of activities. I spent quite a bit of time in the lazy river and in the pool. They have two waterslides. We also had a massage which was heavenly. We went on the beach but did not get in the water. The water is not suitable for swimming with the undercurrents. We never lacked food. We ate breakfast in the buffett restaurant and lunch at the Beach Grill. We ate at the Italian Restaurant (Bellagio) twice. The food and service was awesome. We also ate at Silks which is the Chinese Restaurant. It was good, but not as good as Bellagalio.

St Lucia is getting ready for the Carnival later this month. We were treated two evenings with dancers in costume. I only wish I could dance like that. The music was lively and the entertainment was great. The whole family including little ones could go to the show. I think that's a real plus.

Also, I want to thank Zac and Ernie at the paintball center. My son and I went paint balling. We look forward to returining next year. The GoCart center will open in August.

We really enjoyed our stay. I saw the negative reviews prior ot booking, but we did not have any problems.
