Loved this hotel very clean, staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Food good always something to eat. Nice beach although small lots of sun beds around the pools and in the adult pool the beds are right on the front overlooking the ocean. Not much entertainment so if you are looking for something lively then this is not for you. A couple of nights a week they do dinner outside round the pool very nice. We were meet with a welcome drink after the short drive from the airport the hotel pick you up. A very good holiday if your looking to chill out.

Room Tip: Choose rooms on 1st floor and above.

I am already dying to get back next year! My 3 sons absolutely loved it. It really is a great place where parents and kids can have fun together. Our fav spot was the swim up pool bar. The kids loved ordering all the non alcoholic kids drinks and I loved the dirty bananas!! The pools are all great. The lazy river was so much fun and a great place to relax. The kids loved the water slides and I did too :) The kids camp is awesome! The kids had a blast and the wonderful ladies are excellent with the kids. Kids camp is free and included also, as everything is included since this is an all inclusive hotel. They have a huge outdoor playground and splash water park area in the kids camp as well as computers, ping pong . The food was very good! We loved the grill next to the pool it was quick, easy, good for my picky son because he got his french fries and hot dog there :) The morning breakfast restaurant has an amazing assortment of food. If you want it they have it. We also enjoyed the theme night like the western night dinner outside. It was so much fun. The hotel lobby is beautiful and huge. Be warned the wifi is spotty so I spent a lot of time in the lobby where it came in best. The rooms are decent but they are renovating so I am looking forward to the new improved rooms. Yes there is seaweed on the beach but let me tell you all the staff here is constantly working and clearing it. They have a couple of awesome bars also and again all liquor and drinks are included so really how could not love this place :) The general store was decent but missing a few necessary things like razors. They had no razors anywhere on the property which was crazy I thought. All in all a great value for your money. Book your airline and hotel in advance and other than tips you don't have to spend any other mula. It was a very hassle free vacation they even have a shuttle at the airport so once you go thru customs they will take you right to the Coconut bay free shuttle. The hotel even welcomes you with a free cocktail. If your a light sleeper bring ear plugs as the whistling frogs are very loud, but you get used to it :)

My wife and i have just got back from a great 12 day stay on the wonderful island of St. Lucia and the Coconut Bay Resort & Spa. After reading all the reviews on trip advisor we were really looking forward to our stay and maybe we were expecting something a little more exceptional than we got but please dont read this and get the wrong idea as we had an excellent stay and that was mainly down to being in a beautiful location and meeting some wonderful people. I cannot name them all but special mention must go to Kay who looked after us during our stay around the quiet adults pool with some wonderful drinks, Ken in the resturant who always had a smile and a warm welcome and the very special mention to Hamilton who is the cocktail barman in the Peter Johns bar upstairs who is one of the finest cocktail barman i have ever had the privillage to meet anywhere in the world. The service from the rreception team and i mean all of them was very good from the welcome drink we received the moment we got out of the transport from the airport which by the way only takes 5 minutes to the girls who with a smile and no hasslle relocated us when we were not happy with our first room. This brings me to my only negative point of my review, THE ROOMS!!!, The words refurbishment, paint brushes and new furniture comes to mind. The ground floor rooms feel very damp and are very dated but the room we were relocated to was on the third floor was much better and in keeping with a rating of around 3.5 stars. The food in the resturants is plentiful and good and if you want a little more style then you have two upstairs were you need to dress up to get in and have waiter/waitress services. Dont bother with the Italian, it is nothing special. If you want to see the island, which is a must go on the land & sea tour run by the tour reps which although is a little expensive is worth every penny and the tour guides are exceptional with the knowledge of the island history. Another must do is the sunset cruise when you get to see one of the most beautiful sunsets on a part of the stunning coast line close to the world famous mountains.
Would i go back to St.Lucia again, answer YES, Would i stay at Coconut bay again, yes i would but if you do book this hotel you must look beyond the dated rooms and just enjoy the outstanding customer services, the wonderful surronding and CHILL TO THE CORE!!!

Room Tip: Alway get a room that is not on the ground floor and if you are not travelling with Kids do not sta...

Coconut Bay is an excellant family destination but not really for couples, even though there is an adult only wing.We stayed at Coconut bay from 29th Oct untill the 11th Nov,should have been from the 28th but our flight was delayed for 24 hrs ( thanks Virgin).
After check in which was fast and efficent we went to our room,on opening the door we were greeted by an awfull musty smell,on further investigation we found the room to be of a very low standard. In the bathroom there was mould around the shower and sink area, the whole room needed updating with new furniture and complete paint job.The curtain rail was hanging off and the duvet on one of the beds was filthy. We are not holiday snobs by no means but we excpected the rooms to be of a better standard for the money we payed,i approached reception and asked them to sort out the smell and duvet issue which they did immediately,we dont spend a lot of time in the room anyway and just got on with what we had been given.
So our first impression of the place was not good, after settling in we done what we always do on arrival and toured the site, what we saw was was a very tired resort which in its day would have been very nice but now needed a complete overhall and that dosent just mean a paint job,but all furnishings as well.
I wont go into too much detail on the different areas like food, pools, beach ect as they were all average, however the staff at coconut bay are some of the best we have had dealings with throughout our extensive trips around the carribean.I would like to point out two people in particular and that is our room maid Daria, although the room was tired and dated she done a great job to keep it clean, also to Ken who worked in the buffet restaurant who gave us outstanding service every time we ate there.
We spoke to a lot of people whilst there who had different views on the resort, but most people commented on the fact that the resort was tired, run down and needed an overhall.
I could list good and bad points about this resort but just cant be bothered as it fell into the category of one of the worst places we have visited around the carribean. If anybody requires more info please dont hesitate to message me,overall Coconut bay untill it gets a makeover in my mind is a 3 star resort and should not be marketed as a 4 star.

Room Tip: Get a higher room as we had a garden room, the top rooms are being refurbished

From November the 2nd we spent 10 days at the resort.
My partner works in the travel industry so we had this hotel for a bargin (I would not pay more than £120/$200 usd per family a night)
it is a 5 minitue drive from airport to hotel and was welcome with a tierd 5year old and 16 month old. the cocktail or apple juice on arrival was a nice touch. check in was fast and we were in our rooms in about 1 hour of landing.

Room
room and bathroom are of an old standard but in fairness they were very spacious we had a ground floor room with two queen beds and a travel cot and was so much room also the important thing was that they were very clean.

Food and Bars
The food was excellent my wife to be is a very fussy eater, but they had so much choice there we tried the buffetts which were great in the morning and for lunch dinner was miss and hit for the kids, but the great thing of this place has to be the grill it is a little slow but it is cooked to order and had everying from nuggets to steak burgers to wraps to toasted sandwiches.
we tried all of the resturants (carribean Itallian and Asian) They were brilliant italian could have been air conditioned mind and the atmosphere wasnt a good as the other two but the food was great.

the cocktails were great enjoyed the lobby bar the most Hidy was a gem and very nice.
The pool bar was hit and miss Jade and Darlah were really nice and made a big fuss of our kids

DA JOKER possibly the rudest person i met at the hotel and my partner also felt this was if you were a black female or blonde thats all he was interested in serving and needs a serious lesson in customer service. everyone i spoke to said how much of a joke he was so am amazed at the reviews he gets here.

Kids Club
The kids club was Superb! they took both my toddler and 5 year old and really looked after them both. Our child had a fall there and got two black eyes they should have come and told us really rather than wait for us to come and collect her an hour later but she wasnt crying and seemed happy. Have to say a big thank you to Mia and Auntie who were awsome. If your kids are happy your happy so a thumbs up from me.

If you want a resort to stay in this is the one. i went into town to buy sun tan lotion and it was a very poor town and the taxi driver was so worried about leaving me he stayed with me.
i would go there over the hotel shop anyday mind they are a bit snobby and the prices are sky high

Yes the hotel needs a face lift and you can see they are doing that the hotels entertainment in the evening is hit an miss but in fairness my family enjoyed it and so did i.
Would i go back????? Yes i would in a few years as they are geared up for kids.

Thanks for the good time coconut bay!!

Room Tip: I liked the ground floor for my kids extra room for when they went to sleep we had people over to ge...
