I was so happy to find this secluded place in Puerto Rico! Staying here the first two nights of my 13-day adventure in Puerto Rico and the Southern Caribbean was a perfect start. Lucia Beach, which was steps away from our Villa, was beautiful. Arriving in the evening along with a full moon, I immediately went to the beach to sit and meditate/relax after a daylong trip traveling from Colorado, my pics tell it all. Check-in was easy. If you’re a traveler who requires plush accommodations, this place may not be for you (small towels, small pillows, average mattress), however, accommodations were clean. I liked that a kitchenette with all utensils were in the villa if you wanted to cook. Air conditioning was in good working shape. It was great to hear the ocean at night while sitting on the 2nd floor balcony and fun to wake up with the roosters in the morning! They had a nice clean pool to enjoy although I preferred the beautiful small beach. The property does not have a restaurant but the property next door (the only two hotels in the area) does. The nice staff was always willing to help you with directions or help you with “what and where” to go. In summary, I highly recommend staying at Lucia Beach Villas if you are looking for a secluded, quiet and clean beachfront property.

“Loved the place, the owners, and our new friends”

Hotel Lucia Beach Villas

Apr 4, 2008

My husband and I were looking for a place where we could take my mother and two girls out of the metro area. We got there Easter Sunday in the afternoon. The villas are brand new, clean, and well kept and equipped. The grounds are well kept and though there's no restaurant on site, you have your own kitchenette and there is plenty good restaurants or fast foods either walking distance or for a short 5 minute drive. Since it has 13 to 14 villas, we met prettty much every guest and made new friends... So did my two daguthers, who are 7 and 3! As you walk out of your villa, there's a swiminng pool, suitable for the young and not so young as well. From the top, you may relax with a cascade that soothes you, and the beach is just a step away, which enables you to go to sleep to the sound of the waves.. The owners are always around making sure that everything is going great during your stay. Definitely worth the money and it was the perfect getaway from the city. Prepare to relax and get a nice tan with good service and the firendliest hosts of all!!!

We just returned from our trip to Puerto Rico and the Hotel Lucia Beach Villas. The hotel was wonderful! Great views, very nice and clean pool, wonderful rooms. You can hear the ocean as you fall asleep and wake up to it in the morning! The staff was great especially Anna the supervisor. She went above and beyond to provide us with information on the island and local attractions- thank you Anna! The hotel is the best part of that area and the best one we saw in town. We would stay there again and plan to!

I loved swimming in the ocean right outside of the villas. the water was warm and the ocean floor clear! the waterfall & pool were fun to hang out near, and lots of locals nearby make it feel really festive. the owners, staff & all guests we met there were so nice, it felt like home away from home.

the only problem i had was as a vegan i wish there were more fruits & vegetables around to eat. i didn't get a good vegetarian meal until we travelled later in the week to old san juan! i think everyone likes fresh veggies & fruit, so i wonder why everything in this beach town is fried meat! (not at all this hotel's fault of course... but the hotel restaurant next door didn't even have fruit available for breakfast and there were even animal bones in the beans... why!!!) and try as i might, i couldn't crack a coconut!

i'd definitely recommend the villas and go back anytime!

We five familiy members had two rooms at the Villas for three nights. The hotel is new, clean and spacious, amply staffed with bilingual folks, plus Jeannette and Gary Pollard the Gringo owners-proprietors, live onsite. Their architect son designed the project. The feeling is secure & private at the end of a dirt road. There is another small hotel w/ a large charming parrot in the lobby and restaurant around the corner for three meals a day within walking distance; a cove beach across the street w/ mountains and coconut palms on each side; two cantinas next door w/ happy people hanging out in the evenings. This is not a total resort feel. You know you're in the Caribbean. There is some trash and stray dogs in sight. There is a coconut palm grove half a block away. You hear the coqui' frogs sing all night. The Villas face a large waterfall and pool in the low walled court yard. The beach is to the east. I thought it was great. Each unit has a sitting and bedroom, a kitchenette. The water pressure is sometimes low when the waterfall is on. But the temperature was 85, so even for someone who hates a cold shower, it was truly "No Problem".
