This is a great place for couples or families with young kids. Jadine and Scott went much further than only the extra mile to satisfy all our needs. Even our kids (2.5 and 1.5) loved the place, as there are so many toys (indoor and outdoor) around.

Even though our boys spent all day hiking, tubing and going to an amusement park they still had enough energy to stay up and watch DVDs. They really enjoyed playing on Aiden's trampoline and giant swing. The backyard is a forest with filled with trails to explore. Two nights were not enough with this kind family in this wild part of Scotland. The grannies in the group that didn't want to go tubing had a short walk to the train to Loch Ness from the B&B.

On arrival to day of departure we couldn't ask for a more friendly and welcoming family. They were really helpful with places to visit. Our room was excellent with a view of the woods and we were privileged to see some red squirrels which had been spotted by Jadine and Scott. On one of our days we were also fortunate to spot a red squirrel ourselves running along the garden fence opposite our bedroom window. We were very lucky to see a second squirrel join it and we watched for at least 15 minutes before they disappeared out of sight. The breakfasts we had were of a high standard and you were greeted every morning with a cheery good morning from both Scott, Jadine and their young son. We will certainly be revisiting this b&b because the location and hosts were perfect for us.

My boyfriend, his parents and I stayed here on a trip through the Scottish highlands.

We had a great stay.
Pros:
We loved the common room / dining room and were grateful for use of the family board games.
Breakfast (full Scottish) was good and I appreciated the vegetarian sausage option!
The rooms were big and clean.
Scott and Jardine were great hosts-- very friendly and kind.

Cons:
Would have enjoyed some fresh fruit at breakfast
The house itself lacked some "charm"-- is not an old or historic house.

For better or for worse depending on what you want out of a B&B, this really felt like staying in someone's house rather than at a hotel.

We, family of 3 with dog, were warmly welcomed to this B&B and were shown to our room which was perfect. My daughter was offered the use of DVDs and board games and we were allowed wifi (free). The feel of the place is relaxed which is much needed after a days sightseeing. The hosts were always around ensuring your stay was the best it could be and offering assistance/ advice on the local area where appropriate. Our rooms were in excellent order with various snacks and drink making facilities, tv and DVD player. En suite was fine n' clean with ample towels, shower gel and shampoo. Breakfast was cooked to each visitors requirements/ times, served along with real coffee and fruit juices.

Well worth the cash and a really decent location away from the hustle bustle of Aviemore. Well done guys....keep up the good work! Would recommend to friends and family.

Totally, 'Above and Beyond' hospitality from very friendly and welcoming young family hosts at this very warm and extremely clean and comfortable b & b.. Carrbridge proved an excellent centre for my first birdwatching trip to Cairngorms - I'd left my car in Kent and could get to Cairngorm base car park, Findhorn valley and to the Osprey centre, easily, all by bus! Its also a delightful little village with a post office, a famous bridge, and a superb, friendly pub with real ales and great food. Birdwatching from the bedroom was very good too, with siskins and red squirrels outside the windows!! Get up early, wander out of the back gate and watch deer running through the forest in the snow - before coming back to Scott's excellent breakfast!!
