“Freezing Cold but fabulous day out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012

We visited here during the October holidays and the temperarture on arrival was -2! That didn't stop us having a great day out. It's a super place for kids (and adults) who like climbing and trying different things,. There is also a really good treetop walk that is quite informative too. The food was good value for money and the staff were cheerful, friendly and helpful.

Many thanks for your kind comments - we are delighted you all had an enjoyable day despite the cold weather. Wrapping up warm in such weather is the key to enjoying days out - so much better than staying in doors.

Thanks for visiting and thanks again for your review.

“full on family fun”

Excellent day out for all the family. Great value for money. We bought a weeks ticket and were still gutted when it came to the last day. Can't recommend it enough. Will definately visit again.

Hi Glenda

so happy that you had such good value from our weekly ticket - and maybe you are just too far for a season at the extra £4...:)
Hope that you can bring the clan along again in 2013 and do it all again and enjoy some new things we are planning right now!.

Many thanks for you kind comments.

“You can visit it more than once”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 9, 2012

I have been to Landmark on several occasions with different groups of people including adults teens and young children. I have enjoyed it everytime and would definately recommend it for families especially on a warm day as most of the attractions are outside. I am a big kid and enjoy taking part in all of the activites from rock climbing to the giant slides, so if you like a bit of an adventure I would go for it! Adults might find the nature walk interesting and there is obviously plenty for the children including a rollercoaster. What effected by rating from being higher was the food. The outside food stalls are quite expensive and the quality isn't great so I would recommend taking a picnic if you are going.

Hi Charlotte

Firstly thanks for taking the time to post such a comprehensive review - much appreciated!
Sorry to hear that you think our food offering at the snack bar is not up to scratch for you - this is a bit of a surprise given the many good comments we get in our customer feedback forms. We try to have a selection of 'fast food' type fare here with n offering of home made fare too - soups, stews, curries, baked potatoes, salad too. If you have any details we would be eager to hear from you. In any case we will take your comments on board and keep aiming higher in that area.

So glad that your visits with so many differing age groups are enjoyed by all - this is what we try for - an old cliché is 'for all ages' but it really is what we go for...we especially encourage the child in every person to come out - you obviously find yours on a regular basis - so you are a natural for Landmark!

Many thanks again.

“it was ok”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

On visiting this with my 6 year old son and 14 year old stepson, we were disapointed. On reading reviews on Landmark, we were under the impression there was something for everyone. It was ok, and glad i had a voucher for this family day out or i would have been even more disappointed! We were fighting off wasps the whole time we were there, which put us off having our picnic, i know this is not always going to be the case depending on what time of year you go. We also had to travel for 3 hours to get there which the was the best bit of the trip as that part of Scotland is amazing, so beautiful. We only lasted a few hours at Landmark, we thought it would be a whole day adventure, would not rush back. To finish the trip off we stopped into Aviemore for a ice cream which the boys looked like thy enjoyed more than Landmark!

Hi Amanda D

Thanks for taking the time to post a review.
So sorry to hear that your visit did not live up to expectations - We try to always present the place as an honest Adventure park catering for all ages and many different interests and by and large our guests tell us we are getting that part right. The reviews tend to be in the same vein. All I can think of is that the boys were thinking the park was like a major theme park which of course we are not. Apologies to them for a disappointing trip. Sorry to hear about the wasps - a plague seemed to have descended on the Strath as we saw the same reports from other Aviemore attractions. They were not there for too long though.

I am thoroughly disappointed to hear too that we came second place to an Ice cream - devastating! :)

I hope that maybe we will get a second chance to impress one day and we will put the ice cream in its place!

“Something for everyone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 5, 2012

Even with weather slightly less than ideal, we still managedc to have a smashing day going around the various areas of Landmark. There were the timber trails, a working steam driven sawmill, a chainsaw exhibition, a nature trail (red squirrels included) and there were also some indoor exhibits but we didn't have time to see these. Excellent play areas for the kids, and a nice cafe. Clean and well maintained, easy parking.

Many thanks for your kind comments - sorry to hear you did not have enough time to see it all - perhaps another time - you are not too far away!
Thanks again...
