“Perfect short break”

Best Western Salford Hall Hotel

Nov 11, 2007

We stayed at the hotel for two nights as we has an event to attend at the NEC.Although about 25 miles from the NEC it only took about 40 mins to drive there.
The hotel was very comfotable and the staff exceedingly friendly and helpful.
We had a four poster bedroom on the second floor of the main house. The climb up the stairs would not be suitable for disabled or infirm guests. There is no lift. The room was spacious and comfortable with a sitting area to view the television.
We eat both nights in the main restaurant and the food was excellent. Our only complaint was that the menu was the same both nights. On enquiry we were told the menu changes weekly.
For people on a restrictive diet this could prove a problem as you would soon exhaust suitable options and there are no daily specials or A La Carte. The bistro seemed popular and did have alternatives.Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice.
The hotel was quiet with little passing traffic and it is set back from the road.
We plan to stay again in the future if we have another event to attend at the NEC.

“Lovely”

Best Western Salford Hall Hotel

Jun 1, 2007

Spent two nights here at end of May. Weather was rather disappointing, but hotel made up for it - a tastefully converted old hall with annexe in outbuildings, ideally situated for Stratford and Cotswolds. Very relaxing/charming/English. Our bedroom (in main building, not the annexe) was spacious and very comfortable. Lovely.

“A grand stay!”

Peterborough, UK
Apr 15, 2007

My husband and I won a two-night stay in this hotel with dinner & breakfast, and we we had a very relaxing and romantic stay.

Salford Hall is a grand historic building, located very near the A46. The main building is beautiful, with many of its orginal features restored. It only has 33 bedrooms but has all the facilities you would expect from a modern hotel as well as a tennis court, sauna and a snooker room. It has a good restuaraunt, bar and lounge area.

We stayed in room 18, which was in the coach house. We didn't have a problem not staying in the main house, in fact, we quite liked it. There's something to be said for waking up, pulling the curtains and seeing a historic house just in front of you! The room was a decent size and styled to fit into the period of the hall. As previous reviews say, the shower and tv are unreliable but it didn't bother us that much. We preferred soaking in the deep bath and reading in the garden.

Dinner in the restaurant was excellent - both the staff and the food was top quality. People seem to have travelled far to sample the cuisine and I would say their trips had been very worthwhile. Breakfast was just as good.

I believe that the hall is very popular for weddings and I can see why - the grounds are lovely, the hall is grand and the staff very attentive. It was the perfect place for us to unwind and relax and we are delighted that we had the chance to sample the delights of Salford Hall. We will be back!

“Wedding reception”

Best Western Salford Hall Hotel

Apr 14, 2007

We had to change wedding reception venues at short notice (3 months) and Salford Hall was the one we went with. They could not do enough for us.

All the staff were (are) excellent, both on the day and before. The food is fantastic, the rooms were all great (we viewed about half of them, both in the 'old' building and the 'newer' one, and our wedding guests used them all bar one or two. No complaints at all).
We honestly can't praise them enough, and fully intend going back there in the future.

I only wish we'd planned on using Salford Hall from the start, it would have saved a lot of hassle.
