“Excellent wine and good cheese too!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2012

The wine we chose was - from memory - a Merlot with a great taste and plenty of sediment at about £18 a bottle: so good we had a bottle each! The cheese and the charcuterie sharing platters were outstanding.
Cheese on sale at the shop is really expensive and I'm less sure about the value for money it represents.
Makes a nice change from a normal lunchtime venue and therefore well worth a visit.

“Went to the shop and got 5p left in my pocket”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2012 via mobile

We went there to get some cheese as I particularly wanted to get a black bomber cheddar I discovered at Xmas. True, plenty of cheese but 1) not cheap 2) the bloke who served us added zero value since he only spoke to tell us how much 3) waitrose has a selection just as good.
However the section where you eat seemed pleasant.
We registered there over the Internet and had some good vibes about the stuff they asked but my waitrose deli will see me for a while longer.

“The Home of Cheese”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2011

Good old fashioned service never in a rush. The staffs knowledge is sublime we had two platters at £10.00 each one of cured meats and one of cheese all the bread you can eat. As with all tasters some cheeses you like some you don’t but this is the idea I think. The French chap who served us asked our opinion on the cheese was disappointed to find two cheeses not to our taste, without asking he brought some more over at no extra charge and the wine was delicious ended up buying too much to take home. Will defiantly return.
