Last night 3 of us went to the finest Greek mal we have ever had. Very brash, very vibrant and very noisy but absolutly first class. We arrived and entered the restaurant to find a guy on one table who was obviously a trainee town cryer and was putting in some practice. As it as a warm evening we decided to eat outside. The very friendly and efficiant waiter warned us to go easy on the starters as the main courses are a little large. They are not! Ginormous is a better description. Totally delicious Kleftiko, which is a type of lamb casserole, for my friend and I with a type of paella for my wife. We each had the same complaint, too much of it so next time, and there will most certainly be a next time, we will by-pass the starters compleatly. Our last couple of outings to other venus have been, at best, rather mediocre but last night bounced back to top form restoring our faith in Brighton & Hove's catering ability. This restaurnt will become a firm favourite and I have no reservations in recommending it to you all. A rule of thumb test is how many people are there in the place. A Tuesday, not the busiest night of most, saw the Archipelago bulging at the seams. In my experience something that speaks higher than any review. The service and attitude displayed by the stall was fantastic as was the food as well.
