“Serious food and good rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2013

Getting to the hotel worried me a bit as you have to traverse the old industrial area of hengelo. But it was worth it. The hotel is situated in the old area built by cf stork for his employees and its like going back in time with cobbled streets.

The food .... Very haute cuisine, nice wine, good food choice, something very special for a romantic evening or business trip.

The rooms, very good nespresso machine, clean, roomy, apart shower and toilet. Very quiet comfortable, can't be faulted except some strange smells every now and then.

Breakfast altered between a buffet and served, nice but limited selection, the only improvement would be a more extensive breakfast buffet. But overall a very nice surprise and the food to die for!

Sorry last word, it can feel very formal, no complaint as they were very subtle. For the food lover this is a must believe me

We stayed at this hotel and had the best time ever, in a tuin suit with an amazing bathroom with very large shower en seperate bath. The bed was very comfortable, large and slept really well. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful and looked after us very well. We had a very nice breakfast all fresh and warm food served with a smile. We will be going back again as soon as we can.

Room Tip: We had a tuinsuit facing the front of the hotel, it was private, spaceous and no problem with noise...

Tuindorp ‘t Lansink has been listed as protected view of a village and offers this great hotel right in the middle, adjacent to the central station, connecting to the city center on the other side. Another gem in this district is the "Tuindorpbad", an outside natural pool in walking distance to the hotel.

In the hotel you can enjoy the best food and great service. Enjoy the outside terrace in the summer for your aperitif or, if lucky, the entire dinner. Certainly a place to return to.

Spacious rooms and very friendly and helpful staff. Good value for money. Only reason I did not
rate it higher was that the TV seemed only to work for a day after I rasied the problem

Room Tip: Area is generally quiet, but rooms on the front will be noisier. It was hot when I was there and wit...

This is a small hotel from the beginning of the last century. I have been here before but it has been beautifully renovated in 2005-2006. Now it is small hidden gem with 11 or 12 very nicely decorated spacious rooms. Free wireless internet in the room. There is an excellent restaurant in the hotel, worthwhile a visit in itself. I enjoyed a good dinner there. Breakfast was served at the table and was also very good. Staff is extremely friendly and nice.

The hotel is not in the city centre, but in an area called Tuindorp, which was built in the twenties of the last century by the owners of Stork for their laborers. Now the whole area has been restored and is a much sought-after area to live.

Not exactly in the centre of Hengelo but in a charming residential area slightly to the south of the city. Located at the centre of a small 'garden village' built by a philanthropic industrialist in the early 20th century for labourers of the nearby Stork factories. A small tastefully furnished hotel: recently renovated (in 2005) but retains some nice original details. Decent sized rooms. Good shower. Friendly service. Dinner menu looked good (although I didn't have chance to sample it unfortunately). Quite extensive breakfast. Would welcome the chance to return!
