“A good place to stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2013

Stayed four nights. Just one critical remark should be made. It's about the mattress. Unfortunately it is not supporting enough. Too soft. If you ever had the experience of a slipped disc or if you are close to it. Check the mattress carefully. This the reason why I have assessed the sleeping-quality: avarage.
Staff (reception as well as restaurant) is very kind and helpful. A special diet? They will take care of it. The breakfastbuffet is rich and the quality of the dinner is very much allright. French cuisine with a strong local touch. A combination that works out very well.
Free wifi in every room 48,0 till 54,0 mps and the carparking is free as well. Our Luxery Room was very well equipped with good furniture (comfortable bench and easy chair, a small desk/tabel, cosy lightning, a well filled fridge and a huge flatscreen. Bathroom has enough space. Good quality shampoo, soap and bodylotion is included. Hairdryer is stored in the cupboard and there is a standard choice between two different kinds of pillows on your bed.

Room Tip: All rooms are fine. But if possible ask for the backside. It has a very relaxing view over a small l...

The location is very quiet. I had a Junior-Suite. A very huge, modern and very clean room.
A huge balcony with two sun lounger. Very friendly employees.
A very good (Dutch) breakfast. Just a 10 minutes walk from the city center.

we had two very large rooms in the hotel with en suite and a very comfortable bed in each and cable TV and free WiFi.
Breakfast, included in the price, was a buffet-style meal with all sorts of really tasty food and good coffee.
The hotel is away from the main strip in De Koog, but an easy walk to the restaurants and the beach. There is also a go-kart place very close by for some fun on a rainy day.

The rooms are nice, big and clean. The pillows were a bit soft to our liking but there were spare pillows in the cupboard.

The reception is really nice and friendly without being to present.

They have a great breakfast bar with local products!

This was a return visit. Our agenda was reasonably simple. We booked wellness rooms with sun-showers and Jacuzzi tubs. We wanted nice food, nice beer and a big table to play cards on. We hoped for good weather, but were prepared for rain. The result? A lovely trip. Beach walks and tub soaks. Texel beer at the brewery and at the hotel bar. A satisfying dinner with a sinful chocolate dessert. Kite-flying on the beach, and ambling along the shoreline, which is just a short walk (and over two series of dunes) away.

Room Tip: The views are nothing special; although the view from the front of the hotel is more pleasing. We...

Friendly staff wich offers a good service. Very good location near the centre of the village. Quiet room and very spacious but basic furniture (we took the Deluxe room). Basic and outdated decoration. Good breakfast. Good place but too expensive like a lot of hotels in Texel. When we compare with hotels in Germany or Luxembourg, hotels in Holland are too expensive for the rooms they propose.

We were happy to have booked this hotel. We stayed during the weekend of Texel Culinair and there was not much choice left for hotels. Very lucky for us a room became available the day before arrival. The hotel lobby was small but was modern and nicely styled. The frontdesk was nice and happy to help. The room start with a luxury room, their basic room. It was clean and spacious. Bigger than an average room in the Netherlands. The bathroom has a bath and a separate shower, but it looks a bit dated. The room has a small terrace which does not look inviting but it was nice to be able to open the door to have some fresh Texel air. During the nights it was silent, no noise from neighboring rooms. The breakfast and the breakfast room were really nice and the staff serving the breakfast room were all very friendly. There is a sauna, free of charge which we did not use. Check out went smoothly. Will definitely consider this one again for our next trip to Texel.
