We stayed at the "Pension Zeekraal" for 2 nights. Unfortunately we only got the north side room which is smaller and has no terrace like the other rooms. If you get a room with terrace (south side) you can have your breakfast there.
The breakfast is brought to your room at 9 a.m. and there's no breakfast room. So you have to take it in your room or at the terrace.
The rooms are clean and have everything you need. They have no special comfort like e.g. a flat screen TV, but who needs it on holiday? A "normal" old fashioned one is enough! Our bathroom even had a window.
Everything was clean and the beds were made every day.
As it is a "Pension" you don't get in touch with the landlady or landlord - unless you visit them in their restaurant in the village.
The location is also nice. There's a parking area just about 50m away where you can leave your car for free and it's another about 200m to the center of the village. To tThe beach it's a 15 minute walk.
I recommend the Pension Zeekraal if you're searching for an affordable accommodation on Texel (we had the cheaper room and paid 58 EUR per night for it). And the breakfast is gigantic :) - different kinds of bread, orange juice, milk, tea, coffee, every day another variation of eggs, cheese and sausages, jam, honey ....
You also have a microwave in your room and free internet.
