Just a couple nights on business, but such a refreshing change from the ordinary run of the mill.
It's based in an old monastery, and the mix of old corridors and modern rooms makes it quirky and appealing. There is still an active part to the Abbey which adds to the quirkiness. Breakfast was ordinary but fine. Most of all the peace and quiet was excellent. The staff were very welcoming and very helpful.

Attended a conference here and was really stunned by the size and beauty of the location. Part of our conference included a tour of the building, and if possible, I highly recommend doing this - a great way to see more of the building and truly appreciate its history. The church is particularly beautiful and has lots of interesting nooks to explore (such as the bones of the "founder" in the crypt!)

As a "hotel", the staff was very friendly, the food was excellent and plentiful, and the rooms were comfortable. (Expecting to literally be in old monk's rooms, I was actually even a bit disappointed at how comfortable and modern the lodgings were...) For a room with a shared toilet in the hall, there was never a wait for the bathrooms.

Overall, an excellent location for a conference - very accommodating staff and well organized site.

Very unusual experience since the hotel is in abbey. Very nice places around - silent nature and small villages just on Germany's border. Our room was of low class I suppose, so it was rather basic. Others - high class should be luxur, I think.

We arrived at the hotel and were slightly taken aback by the sheer size and beauty of the buildings, I believe it is a converted monastery, the evening meal was ok and the breakfast very good with a decent selection of food and drinks.
The rooms are a bit basic, no TV or en Suite, but beautifully decorated and finished,must have been tough if you were a monk ;-)
