With a great view over the harbour area of West Terschelling, you just gotta love this place. It's pretty big, and pretty too. Done in the now very populair industrial design style, it's contemporary, slick and inviting. The staff are really good, with lots of attention to detail. The food is well above average as far as the restaurants in West go. We had a very, very good piece of seabass, a great Thai curry, and the kids some nice fish. The wines was reasonably priced and the winelist has some nice bottles on there for under 25 euro. The kitchen is right in the centre of the restaurant, so you can watch the staff at work, at least from the waist up. Desserts where also really nice, so five dots would be fair, if the coffee had been ok. Which it isn't. I can't think of a reason that the proprietor has chosen for pushbutton machines that produce a cappuccino. The cappuccino doesn't even come close to the real thing with way too much milk, terrible milkfoam and a nasty bitter taste. Why have great cooks ans staff, good food, and serve that stuff? it's beyond me. So my advoce, have a good meal, enjoy the view and wines, and have your coffee somewhere else.
