“Value for money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2013

I stayed in the hostal Noguera together with my boyfriend for one week.
It was our first holiday abroad. The Hostal is good value for money! But it definitely would be worth to pay more for a room with a balcony.
The room we stayed in was on the ground floor. Every room has air con, a fridge and a safe.
The fridge is pretty small, but big enough to store 3 or 4 small bottles of water inside.
There is a cleaning lady who cleans the rooms daily, but still we found some dust behind the desk and inside the wardrobe.
The breakfast spread is pretty big and breakfast is served from 7 until 11am. Having said this, if you want scrambled egg and rashers for breakfast, you're better off getting up early for the cooked breakfast.
The hostal owned bar serves cold drinks throughout the day, which can be enjoyed inside the restaurant or outside around the pool.
The hostal is small and has a family feel about it.
It is located in the area of Albir (which is just 7 minutes walk away). There is a bus going to Benidorm which only takes half an hour.
In Benidorm you have many restaurants, a water park, a Zoo, an "Water World", a sandy beach with water ski, lots of bars and night clubs.
Albir is more on the small side, but there are plenty of shops and restaurants. Albir is not as overrun with tourists as Benidorm, it's ideal for couples who are looking for a relaxing holiday or families with small kids.

Room Tip: a day trip to Altea is a must!

We were here for 8 nights and it was wonderful. The service is more than satisfying, if you're missing something, the employees are more than happy to do everything in their power to satisfy your needs. It is not a big hostal, but we enjoyed the privacy and also the friendly family atmosphere with other guests and owners. We didn't have a dog there, but we could see with our own eyes how this hostal is dog friendly and you don't even have to pay extra for it. The food is delicious and every morning you are offered coffee made by the owner himself. We only had breakfast included, but we ate a few times in hostal's restaurant and we were more than satisfyed. The prices are very reasonable (2 pizzas and 2 drinks - 13€). The pool is refreshing and clean. Overall, I must say we loooved the staying and will definately come here again!

We stayed a couple of nights. Very good rooms. Clean and beautifull. Staff is happy and helpfull. At least they try to be but English is not their best. A value for money hotel so don't expect everything. The breakfast was good too. You have a lot of places you can visit in small distances around this hotel.

It's difficult to find the right accomodation when travelling to the coast and especially to Benidorm. Great places downtown but parking is a real issue, so when we came across Hostal Noguera we thought it was a great option to visit the area and to be next to almost everything but without the hassle. The hostel has been recently refurbished so the rooms are in perfect condition (They even have fancy showers!). Despite being next to the room is not noisy and we could sleep perfectly well. It has a little pool to cool down and the service is very good. There is no breakfast buffet but you can have whatever you fancy (toast, eggs, coffee, milk, ...) and there is no time limit, so if you wake up at noon, you still can have your breakie...

Maybe it's not the idea of the seaview hotel, one step from the beach you may have for your holiday, but it's a great starting point to discover the whole area for really good value!!!

Room Tip: I guess the ones at the back are quieter but we didn't have any problem, anyway!

The hostess made our visit to this basic hotel. The rooms were spacious and clean, however the dining room was noisy, caused by more than one tv showing different games of sport. Despite the fact it's on a main road, with much busy traffic, we slept well in the well protected, air conditioned rooms. The reception was very friendly and welcoming, taking a good deal of time to chat and give us information.

The 1st room we checked into was typical Hostel type accommodation, quite basic standard, the we found out that the shower holder didn't stay up, so asked to change rooms. Cecilia on reception (even though spoke no English) was quite helpful and showed us a much better room for the same price.
There's clearly two standards of rooms here, the newer rooms look like they've been build with the option of wheelchair access as are of a much better standard than the regular rooms.
Breakfast was included in the price and we could order more or less anything they had. So we asked for toast, croissant, jam, coffee, orange juice and a ham and cheese toastie.
It was all very nice although the service from Cecilia was a little on the slow side! I think she has just 1 speed which is perhaps 2nd gear, but still quite charming in her own way!
Free wifi was a great added bonus.

This is a small hotel on the main road between Benidorm and Altea. It's a good bet for single travellers as it gives a significantly lower rate for single occupancy. Location is not ideal if you haven't a car as the main road is very busy. There's a footpath to the beach/town of Albir (about 10 mins) but this is not practical at night. There's a railway station across the road which provides easy and cheap access to other towns up and down the coast.
The rooms are clean and spacious with a balcony and nice views. Good air-con but TV only in Spanish. There's a bar area with tapas available all day. The food was good and reasonably priced but restaurant is closed on Sunday. There's a nice pool with sun loungers. Also free wifi.
Service is somewhat "laid-back".
