This hotel is spotlessly clean and in an ideal location with very friendly helpful staff. The hotel is very dated and could do with a total revamp. The food is ok - nothing more, nothing less. We stayed for 4 nights and this was enough.

Room Tip: We got a sea view room on the top floor, free of charge, this was perfect

hello my wife and i stayed here for a week at the end of april 2013 and i will try to give a honest opinion based on our experience. firstly the hotel is very dated but very clean as we always find with the spanish hotels, our board bases was all inclusive and our room was a twin with balcony we did not get a sea view as requested but the view of the mountains made up for this the room has a hair dryer so don't bother packing one and the beds a comfortable the room has a tv with a couple of english channels and a deposit is not needed for the remote and the room has cooling and heating via a air conditioning unit. well thats the room now for the dining experience the first thing that really is a down side is the tables do not have individual condiments so you have to use the communal salt and pepper pots placed next to the food bays and this causes problems when selfish people take them to the tables so you are left looking around for them second is the dining area is very small so queuing is a regular thing, the food is ok for the price you pay and you can always put a meal together the staff are very friendly with the exception of a couple of miserable ones but that's par for the course wherever you go ! the pool is next to the beach and i think this is what attracted us to the hotel, drinks are local but ok cheap and cheerful and are served from 10:00 to midnight and snacks available if you get peckish between meals. the resort was not for us but i'm sure you would love it if you like restaurants and cosmopolitan shopping its full of them with very few bars it is a beautiful place but we preferred going to palamos just down the coast with it's old type spanish streets shops and bars. what i am trying to say is its not for kids but would be good for couples with lots of euros for the shop prices ! the taxi to palamos is around 35 euros return, busses are very few and the station is around two miles from the hotel with maybe one stop in between so we found that we were tied to the place !! overall not for us but don't let this put you off it could be right down your street !!

Stayed for 4 nights all inclusive in April 2013. Hotel was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Food was really nice with plenty of selection and different each day. Packed lunches were better than we expected with plenty of healthy food. Only fault was when we asked several times to borrow an iron which was always 'busy'.

Just had a week all inclusive at this hotel just went for a cheap and cheerful break. The hotel surpassed all expectations, clean room, good food and drink and helpful staff. We had a hire car and was surprised to find we had to pay for a weeks parking even as residents added £50 to holiday cost.
Other than that the town is within easy walking distance and a trip to Barcelona is in easy reach.
Can't comment on the entertainment as not our thing but people seemed to enjoy it and there was plenty of space on the patio to get away from it.

Room Tip: Don't pay extra for a sea view you could end up with a room above the bar and entertainment area...

I visited caleta palace in April 2013 and must say that it was quite a nice experience, i was on the all inclusive program and the choice of food and drinks at each meal was ok.....the only sore point was the fact that you had to pay a significant amount of money to use their wi fi in the hotel also the transfer from Girona to the hotel was quite messy as they obviously did not keep good records and resulted in my been stranded at the airport for over 2hours....all in all a pleasant experience.

Room Tip: SIngle rooms do not have sea view!

Stayed here couple of weeks ago and cant rely fault it. Nice hotel, perfect location, right on the beach. Staff are nice and friendly and try their best to speak english. the meal times are perfect and have a varied selection, they evn have a snack bar in between meal times incase you get peckish lol.. The Bar is totally free for everything if you are all inclusive, from ice lollys, all drinks and hot drinks. The bar staff are actually nice, theyl only be grumpy if your are! lol... the the evening entertainment is a lil boring sometimes, but if you make friends it should be okay,... everyone seemed to be soo freindly when we went, from the kids, adults to the elderly..

there are some shops, resturants and bars a 5min walk frm the hotel, it is quite a peaceful area, ideal for relaxing holidays,, if your looking to prty, your better off goin to loret da mar..

Rooms were cleaned everyday.. you get the lil mini toiletries, even a lil toothbrush! lol you can borrow
their iron if u ask at reception..

All in all its a lovely hotel, ideal for a short break away, may get a lil boring if you stay too long unles your willing to travel around see the other places, loret de mar is a 45min drive away and barelona not too far either..Dont forget you can use ur all inclusive card at hoteher Htop hotels but think you need to book a day in advance,,

good luck in your holiday search, feel free to msg me if you have any questions :)

Room Tip: Dont be surprised if you ask fr a double bed but get twin instead lol... , jus push them togther

We arrived as a family of 3 with a 5yo daughter, booked a transfer online expecting a sedan but a mini bus arrived,it wasnt shared so i didnt bother complaining as it was a reasonable price, first impressions were good, quick check in,didnt get a seaview room as requested, too late to complain as it was 10.45pm,was told snacks were available in the bar,so off we went it was good to be able to have some food, went up to room on first floor 135,nice room clean and tidy, could do with a makeover but for what we paid it was ok,it had the car park view which has been a negative on here, but i found it to be fine, the sun moves around from the pool area and sea view area around 15.00 hrs and bleaches the balcony areas around the car park,so pool in morning then couple of hours on balcony later, the food was very varied and i think everybody would be catered for,i think the plan is to only do one dish per visit,as if you have a bit of everything the variety is the same so you get bored with it,cereals, soups, english sausages, pork, chicken, turkey, bolognese, chips, burgers, pasta, salads galore, rabbit, and a large sweet table, pretty swift service as well, tended to be queues at weekend, and could imagine it could be bad in peak times, but all in all no complaints about the service and food and didnt see anyone complaining, the beer was ok and the plastic glasses were the frosted type and i didnt have to use my own, shorts and cocktails fine, the only complaint would be the old fella behind the bar was a grumpy so and so and if he didnt like you he made you wait, twice told my wife the all inc cards we were using were kids ones soft drinks only, first time i went up to reception and they said they were fine, second time i went up to bar he served me no bother with same cards, and when he was on queues were apparent,i could imagine peak times queues could be bad as bar area is very small, right then!all above is positive but the BAD bit is the entertainment it may get better in peak season, but the kids disco(which my 5yo actually enjoyed)was 21.00 till 21.30 and consisted of,hokey hokey, superman, titchy wa,music man, head shoulders knees toes, choo choo, same order EVERY NIGHT,done my head in!and the international disco 21.30 onwards was for the 40 plus local spanish over 60yo pensioners who arrived every night for the waltz and line dancing, and if you left your seat unattended it was gone in a flash with your belongings on the floor, and they never had any drinks on the table,so night times tended to be boring with not many decent bars in the town centre, pool area was fine and the snacks in the bar area were good, bacon, burgers, ham, cheese, salads, cakes etc,if you dont mind old time dancing,or like early nights, you will have a decent holiday here, beach only 50 yds away, but not for young ones, water goes from couple inches to 6ft plus in a matter of feet, and its hard to pull yoursell out on the shale as you sink in,but some lovely coves minutes away.

Room Tip: sea view excellent view but no sun after 1500hrs,car park view ok sun in afternoon
