“Good location at a reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2014

staying 6 nights between Christmas & New Year we had a `comfort´ room, with balcony & sea view, that despite being a little frayed around the edges was both cosy (thanks to radiators) and comfortable. We liked having a kettle in the room for essential bed tea (bring your own). The breakfast choices were reasonably varied, though at busy times the crockery was in short supply. We ate in the restaurant once (3 courses €24) and were satified with our meals but not bowled over. The spa was disappointing as it simply is not large enough to qualify as a wellness experience although the massage was excellent. The public rooms & areas outside are well supplied with comfy seating making the most of the views and the open fire was an additional plus in this dark season.
I think the €10 per diem charge for parking is rather cheeky as the hotel is not in the centre of a city, nor indeed the town but as it was included in our package I can´t get too indignant.
Taken all together the few niggles are completely overrided by the fabulous location- the price/value equation doesn´t often deliver such a lovely view.

Room Tip: we had 262 -2nd floor south end -the view was pretty good but the air-conditioning units were placed...

Thank you for your visit and your contribution. About parking we inform you that we have a free public parking right in front the hotel, for those who do not like to pay for a 24 hrs secured private parking in the resort. Looking forward to have the chance to serve you again in a future, best regards.

What a treasure this hotel is. We stayed for 6 nights over Christmas and found the staff helpful and courteous. The sea view room was lovely and adequately sized with a well stocked mini bar with room to keep our own 'fizz' cool. Wonderful buffet breakfast and the staff were on top of the game clearing tables quickly and efficiently. The buffet was always well replenished. Restaurant food was excellent as were the gala menus on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Compliments to the chef!! The lounge area was wonderful with an open fire creating a lovely atmosphere. My only adverse comment might be that there could have been a few more festive decorations in the dining room and lounge, but other than that we couldn't fault it. Reading the previous comment about the invasion of kids on the 29th December, I fully agree with the writer... those kids were a nightmare and spoilt the lovely atmosphere in the lounge. However, that is not the fault of the hotel but of the parents and if we had experienced another evening with them I think we would have had words.......Other than that, we had a wonderful stay.... so good we've booked again for next Christmas! Thanks Silken Park x

Room Tip: The sea view room was wonderful

My thought is that this hotel obtains the 4 star rating because of it's location which is beautiful.

However without the location 2 star would be generous.

We were here to share 25th December with friends however we do not eat pork so started a diatribe with the hotel! in conclusion we did not eat there with our friends the hotel failed to communicate with us and after three weeks failed to produce a menu. Sadly when we spoke with the Manager his resolve was that he was sorry we were not satisfied however his Hotel was full.

The hotel seems to rely on being full rather than customer satisfaction our last night at the hotel resulted in a invasion of children some 10 in all running riot and the esodus of Adults hoping for solace or romance nightmare would best describe the scenario.

The interior of the hotel is finished to a mediocor standard with pictures hung incorrectly and very unpleasing to the eye.

The rooms for the most part are comfortable however some are so cramped that you are unable to open the mini bar! the design of these rooms are apppalling.

The Hotel needs to be clear where it's Customer base is and make sure it delivers the goods.

In summary location superb the staff are pleasant but vacant of any relavant information the Manager in need of serious training in customer care.

Over all opinion there are better hotels in the local with possibly Managers with more customer care experience.

To Summarise location fabulous Hotel mediocre due to very poor Manager leadership his staff far out weigh his very poor performance.

Advice there are far better hotels be more adventorous than we were.

Room Tip: Chose a better hotel

We stayed for one night in May 2013, whilst on a touring holiday. This hotel group has really good standards, and we have also stayed at their hotel in Valencia. We had a balcony with fantastic views. The rooms are a decent size, beds are comfortable and en-suite bathroom well fitted out. The linen and towels are of good quality. Breakfast buffet had loads of choice. Did not like the coffee from a machine (only a small gripe). We had dinner at the hotel, and the meal was fabulous, and reasonably priced. We talked about going back for a week, which we may well do some day. Excellent.

We stayed one night here because we were exploring the coast. This was a great little hotel! I would have given it 5 stars but when we checked in, we were told we had a spa credit we could use. The kicker was NO ONE answered the phone when you called to make reservations. The front desk said they would have someone contact us but that never happened. Also, the WiFi was not working. I would stay here again without a doubt.

Suggestion to the hotel, don't offer something if you can't provide it.

We appreciate your contribution and we will take the measures to improve the problem with our phone attention at spa-desk, wich it was punctual and obviously it is not our standard of attention service. We always offer the best service with the guarantee to be provided, of course, and we would like that you could have check it more than one day. Maybe next time, hoping soon, thanks again for your visit!

We discovered this hotel last year and this holiday was the 4th time we have stayed - each visit being a little longer than the last. Its position overlooking 2 gorgeous bays is just superb and even in November the weather was excellent and the sea still warm enough for us to swim in on several occassions.
Any visit to this lovely hotel is enhanced by the wonderful staff who are friendly, helpful and seem to make each guest feel special. We must mention Fatima, Carlotta and Juan for special praise.
Rooms are extremely clean ( try for a Supreme for the size and views), breakfast is excellent and try to eat on the terrace whilst you enjoy the views, the sunshine and the sound of the sea just below you.
The Spa is a lovely experience with very helpful staff and the cost is inexpensive. There is a fully equipped fitness room with superb views overlooking the sea.

Room Tip: Pay the extra and book a Supreme Room. It is worth spending a little more for the position and super...

After a long drive struggling to find the hotel, we were delighted to see how lovely the hotel looked at reception.
We got to our room, didn't like it, and duely changed to a seaview room which is simply gorgeous view wise.
Breakfast - good selection. So nice eating on the terrace with the view.
Location is great. Not too far from platja d'aro although we had a car which is probably advisable (so cheap too!)
Evening meal isn't as expected. With full board we expected a typical buffet. Nope. Sit down meal of a v good standard. Note the restaurant needs to add speakers and candles to add atmosphere.
Beach is ok but the steps should be repaired. We were ok with our 3 yr old but older guests it is dangerous.

Spa looks lovely. Will certainly return. Advice - turn right from the hotel & visit Palamos (5mins away). Delightful restaurants and anice beach also.
Will return

We thank your kind contribution and noted your suggestions, for ex. the stair to the beach that you mention is going to be completely renewed, however there is also another stair-access to the beach from the fitness area that was built last year. We are always trying to hear our customers and improve our services, therefore we are so happy when your rate us with 5 over 5, it makes us to keep the motivation. Thanks again and see you next time!
