“Fantastic !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 26, 2013 via mobile

A little bit more upmarket and pricy, but: fresh razor clams, the biggest tuna slab I have seen (perfectly blue), and a raspberry pannacota with white chocolate ice cream... And the rest of the menu was so inspiring and refreshing. By far the best food on this part the island; not typically Canarian, more upmarket English gastro restaurant, but so worth the visit.

“Lovely service and food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

We stayed in Nazerat just up the road from this restaurant for a week. It had only been open 7 weeks but my Dad recommended it to me. The food was very very good as was the service which was spot on. Prices are Gastro pub level in the UK but its well worth it. We went twice as it was so good! We tried to go 3x but they shut early on a Thursday otherwise we would've.

“What a Find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 23, 2013

we visited this restaurant, whilst visiting our daughter in Lanzarote, she had been told about it, as it has only recently opened. What a find !! a little off the beaten track, but worth the trek. Everything was excellent, the ambience, the choices on the menu, the specials board and the wine. The young waiter was hungarian, he spoke excellent English, and the wine he recommended was excellent. The menu was very diverse, something for all tastes, and very reasonably priced. we have already booked again for our Christmas meal.

“Fantastic!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

This restaurant has only been open for a month. My husband and I went to try it on Friday having heard many rave reviews from fellow residents who had already been. We normally stick to restaurants in Costa Teguise where we live, as we like to enjoy a bottle of wine with our dinner and don't want to drive. However, when we checked out the public transport we realised that we could get there on the bus in about 20 minutes and enjoy a leisurely meal before catching the last bus home.
The restaurant has been very nicely decorated. It has a lovely traditional feel and there's plenty space between the tables. The restaurant offers tapas or a full a la carte menu that changes every 2 weeks and there were also a number of special available. The drinks menu was quite extensive and they had my favourite Bermejo wine, so I was very happy.
We decided to order from the a la carte menu. I had the pear, stilton and walnut salad which was delicious and beautifully presented. My husband had one of the specials - calamares en tempura. It was delicious and a very generous portion for 5,50€. For the main course we both ordered the cod with smoked bacon and roasted pumpkin and a side dish of lyonaise potatoes to share. The combination of flavours was fantastic and the cod was cooked to perfection.
Although some of the desserts on offer looked great, we decided to share a cheese plate as we fancied a glass of port, as we'd seen it on the drinks menu and not many restaurants have this in Lanzarote. We were brought a selection of cheeses. They were all delicious - our favourite was a rosemary coated goats cheese from the local cheese factory in the village.
As we still had a little time left before our bus home, we decided to have liquor coffees as these were made with proper fresh cream rather than the squirty cream you so often get in other places. These were lovely and a perfect end to a lovely meal.
The service was really attentive. We explained that we wanted to have a leisurely meal as we had a couple of hours before our return bus. We were asked after each course to tell them when we wanted the next course and it worked out perfectly. It was a nice change to get away from the resorts and into a restaurant in a more remote part of the island.
This restaurant has definitely become a new favourite for us and we look forward to going back soon and sharing this hidden gem with friends.
