“Delightful hidden gem with flavoursome fresh tapas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 5, 2013

We found this amongst the hustle and bustle of the market. Beautiful hidden courtyard with maybe 10 tables. Lovely and fresh tapas, not to mention a great wine selection. All very reasonable and children's mini tapas was free!

“A bizarre and not altogether pleasant experience”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

This is a charming restaurant - in appearance. There is an attractive courtyard and a couple of interestingly furnished rooms. After that it was down hill all the way. There is no menu but the "jovial" German owner explained that they served a plate of tapas and if you wanted wine they would bring a bottle, see how much you drank and then "charge you what we like". We thought this was a joke, but it wasn't. When we asked for the bill they brought us a box of three bottles and said this was part of the deal. The very high bill reflected this. When we said we didn't want them, they looked offended but brought us another bill which charged us a pro rata rate of over 30 Euros per bottle for a pleasant but ordinary wine and overestimated the amount we had actually drunk. After further prolonged discussion they produced a third bill which was still expensive but not by too much, so we paid and left.
Having said that, until the bill came it had seemed an interesting place worth visiting, but, like the other tripadvisor visitors, we left with a bad taste in our mouth.
