Spent a week at this hotel. We picked a good week as there were no kids so it was nice and quiet. Alot of older people, and a hell of a lot of ignorant spanish people. The rooms are basic but very clean, a couple of cockroaches and ants on the balcony, all the basics, microwave, cooker, fridge.

It is a good 10 min walk to the beach and local shops. We went all Inc and got our money worth through alcohol. The food was terrible!!! I wouldn't reccomend the food at all. Because of the food we had to eat out most nights, everything was the same and what was not ate at lunch time was put into castleroles or something the following evening.

Staff were very helpful apart from one really ignorant man called Fiasal, thinks he owns the place and is soooooo rude it's not even funny.

The fact that we had a peaceful week with no kids made it for us however everyone moaning brings it down slightly

Disappointed with this hotel! Room needed a damm good clean, no ventilation in the bathroom, bedroom like a sweatbox, no maid service 2 days a week, debateable that they did anything more than make the beds and change towels when they did go in. Rooms heavenly scented with the smell of cockroach repellant. Not enough staff who were generally run off their feet majority were lovely though. Recycling of left overs in the dining room very inventive with the cold sprouts tossed in mayonnaise with green beans the worst and the breadpudding the best. Don't go expecting brilliant food- on the evenings we just couldn't face it we went in to town and had some really nice meals. About 15 mins walk to the front down the hill and 2.5E back in a taxi. No kettle for an early morning cup of tea so take one or you can hire, likewise with hairdryer.

Returned from the Timanfaya Golf last night after 7 days, on arrival hotel looked lovely and clean very quick booking at reception. Rooms were spacious but poor self catering facilities which didn't bother us as we were all inclusive. We shouldn't have bothered the only thing worth eating was the breakfast. Dinner & lunch was the same thing day in day out with only slight variations and it had no taste what so ever. As for the bar snacks they were shocking can't believe they thought that was acceptable to serve.
The cokes/lemonades were flat, no selection in fruit juices as displayed or cocktails, because of the complaints you could pay extra for proper spirits??? if not the all inclusive drinks had no taste of alcohol at all. Very short staffed at bars so people were kept waiting when I say people just the English the Spanish were served immediately we were eventually served without a smile.
A walk to the front is about 20 mins but has some lovely bars and places to eat well worth getting away from the hotel.
We made the most of our holiday and enjoyed our time in Lanzarote but for the money we paid I would not recommend Timanfaya Golf a place to stay

I am sorry to say myself and my wife were very disappointed with this hotel, first night their I went onto the balcony I killed at least 3 cockroaches, the food was poor, entertainment was all for the Spanish, no air-condition in the dinning room or the entertainment room. The hotel was under manned not enough staff. Their is no choice of lagers or beers only the one. The waiter was very rude and served the Spanish first. Back to the entertainment it was very very poor for a hotel that was to be a 3 star. Why if you are on an all all-inclusive do the bar stop at 11pm and you are offered to pay for your drinks if it’s still open till 12.00, we were supposed to be on holiday. The poolside bar shuts at 6pm then you have to go into the entertainment room to queue for your drinks I don’t mind waiting, but in a room full of very noisy and rude Spanish people, with no air con, not very nice I can tell you. I don’t mind drinking from plastic cups by the pool side bar. but watching the so-called entertainment you were if lucky given a small glass, half full of beer and have full of froff, if you went back to the bar without your glass you were give a plastic cup not 3 star is it??
