“Still don't know what it's for.....”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013

Alongside the Hotel Volcan on a small headland is the Castillo de las Colorados. Looking like a half built lighthouse access would be by a lava brick staircase and a dubious looking drawbridge. Fabulous views from the headland our to Papagayo beach, Fuerteventura and back over the Rubicon marina. Take your camera

“Stunning views of the atlantic ocean and Rubicon marina”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

Not much to say, a small stone building, designed to hide the locals from pirate attacks, perilous drops from the cliff edges, but compinsated by stunning views

“Interesting but not special”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

Worth walking round (literally) as you take the picturesque walk connecting Papagoya, Marina Rubicon and Playa Blanca old town.

“An old fort on a headland”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013 via mobile

If you like walking along the coast and looking at the outside of old buildings then this is for you. It is worth a wander up if you are in the area but don't make a special trip.

“Take a walk along the cliff side path”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 6, 2013

Take a walk along the cliff side path that runs from The Gran Castillo to the marina and beyond, numerous sites to visit along the way, The Castillo appears to be a favorite photo stop
