“wonderful apartments”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

just returning after a great weeks stay in jardines del sol, the apartments are very spacious, clean and tidy. we had a two bedroom with two bathrooms all the mod cons you could think of, large cooker, washing machine, iron, large fridge/freezer, hairdryer, english channels great to catch up on soaps or if just want to stay in a night. ruby's restaurant served lovely food. it is a quiet resort and around a 20 minute walk into playa blanca but we didnt mind this, great excerise. we would recommend this apartment

We stayed for 2 wks at beginning of august, Lovely accommodation the bungalows were very well clean and equipped the gardens were beautifully maintained and the whole resort had a great relaxed friendly feel to it. Sun beds were always available and people didn't reserve them for the day, first time I've come across this and it was great. Staff were very attentive and efficient. A gentle 15-20 min stroll into Playa Brava with a great variety of bars and restaurants, and taxi back €3.5. One of the best Diamond resorts we have stay at

Would recommend and definitely go back. Very clean and well kept. Bungalow and grounds beautifully kept.
Small restaurant on site, but good food.

Short walk to water park. You can walk into Playa Blanca or taxi for €3

Going where there's glorious weather always helps! Excellent accommodation with good facilities. The small restaurant does the basics for the guests. If you want a sun bed by the pool you'll have to get up early. It's not really a problem as all the apartments have their on patios if you just want to sun worship. Very helpful and customer facing staff who gave some spot on restaurant recommendations. One of our best ever beach/sun holidays.

Brilliant cannot find a single fault. Resort was full but extremely quite. Plenty of sunbeds no reserving at all with towels. Ruby`s pool bar brilliant we have an extremely fussy eater of a daughter but nothing was a problem, staff very good. Largest villa we have ever stopped in. Lovely beach within an easy 15 minute walk very safe for children.booked to go back within a day of getting back home.

Room Tip: Try and get a Villa they are big.

Jardines Del Sol is simply amazing! We have just returned after a week's break and would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a relaxing holiday in a wonderful setting to stay here.

The bungalow/villas are clean and well equipped with their own patios where, if you don't feel like going to the pool or beach, you can relax on very comfortable sun loungers.

The staff are, without a doubt, the most professional, friendly and accommodating I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Jeanette (manager) runs the resort with passion and enthusiasm and this has obviously rubbed off on everyone who works there. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they are always willing to give advice on local events and good places to eat or visit. Maria who works on reception is a brilliant Diamond Resorts ambassador and I wish her customer service skills could be replicated throughout the organisation.

All in all, a brilliant place to stay and one I would highly recommend.

We are seasoned visitors to Lanzarote - 18 visits at the last count - and we know the Island very well together with the main resorts and the complexes within them.

I can without doubt state that there is no complex on Lanzarote that meets the exacting standards of Jardines Del Sol. We are very lucky to now be members of Diamond Resorts and therefore go on a regular basis but each year we see improvements - this year was the intricate island gardens and the new security measures.

For those thinking about visiting for the first time, the villas are superbly equipped - you need never bring holiday washing home as you can wash and dry out there, it is nowhere near the chore that it is is in the UK !! Coffee machines, ice trays, a variety of saucepans, even the kettles have Brita filters. Nothing is too much for this superb offering.

The villas are mainly semi detached but spread out so that you can sit on your patio and feel like you have your own private garden. Top quality sunbeds at your own villa and round the pools. Fully air conditioned and parking is close wherever your location with no lugging of suitcases up any stairs.

The staff are exceptional - everybody says good morning, is smartly turned out and nothing is ever too much trouble. The restaurant on site is very good value for money and the food now includes some traditional Canarian dishes as well as English favourites. The drinks are good value and again the staff are delightful. Top tip - whenever there is entertainment on be sure to book a table as the restaurant can become full very quickly.

Maassive bonus for those of you who cannot be separated from your ipads etc is the availability of wi-fi. I believe there may be a charge, but as Silver members we get this for free. The speed is not great, but for just checking emails etc, it was invaluable for us.

In terms of the location, it is set below Montana Roja (try out the guided mountain walk - free activity) towards the back of Playa Blanca resort and it is a lovely walk to the front.

2 options for walking to the front;
First - out the back gate, turn left and down over the common area, straight over the road and just stay walking downwards and you come to the front). The main resort is to the left, but some lovely restaurants El Argentino and Sebastyan's are a 5 minute walk, fabulous views to be had).
Second - If exiting through the front, turn right, come to the main road, cross over going left and take the first turning on the right. Down pass Aqualand (a water park) and then just past the entrance to the First Choice Playa Flamingo resort, take the small service road. This is the nearest sandy beach. If you turn left you then have a 15 minute stroll to the centre of the resort. Top tip - for perfect steak try Vaca Tijuana (on the front towards the public beach)

Top tip - pack some water and then walk all the way to Marina Rubicon, have a coffee on the front by the Marina and watch the world go by whilst deciding which yacht to buy.

As a regular traveller I would strongly recommend that you take the minimum amount of cash for the first couple of days and then use a debit card for cash withdrawls, most of the banks will allow you to take out Euros but choose to have your card debited in pounds. Saves if you have a bank that charges conversion and a handling charge.

There is loads to do on the island and a car is recommended but if you decide not to book a car, then definitely have the resort transfer to and from the airport. It is 50% cheaper than taxis and can be booked prior to your visit. The staff at reception will courtesy call you a couple of weeks before you travel and ask when your flight arrives, whether you want a transfer etc etc.

There are a small number of tea, coffee and sugar sachets provided plus a small carton of milk available when you arrive. You can purchase essentials from the small shop on the resort, alternatively there are the usual supermarkets - Spar, Hippodino in the main resort.

Top tip - best place to park for the centre is next to El Bocaino restaurant. Out of the complex, turn left on the main road, carry on over 2 islands until you reach the main island (petrol station on right). Turn right and then halfway down the hill, just after the exit for the petrol station is an entrance to a car park - a rough area that you just drive down to the bottom of. You then just cross the road and walk down to the main centre.

Once again I cannot emphasise how great this resort is. I have stayed in hotels, apartments and villas and this is my home from home.

If you are visitng and have any questions, please feel free to contact me, I am more than happy to try and help!!
