“Home from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

Jardines del Sol is our home from home and we try to get out there at least once a year. We love everything about the place; the Jeanette and her staff are fabulous and can't do enough for you. The accommodation is fabulous and you could quite easily live there. We always hire a car but it's certainly not essential as there is plenty within walking distance and taxis are plentiful.

Room Tip: All the 2-bed bungalows are pretty much the same as far as we know.

Jardines del Sol is a smallish complex with about 65 or so apartments and some new larger villas. The site is spacious, well maintained and attractive with plenty of plants and greenery, set around 2 pools and a small paddling pool. As this resort is part of a timeshare company (but rooms are also available through Expedia and other online booking sites), I did wonder if the glowing reviews might be from people with more of an interest in the resort (we booked independently through hotels.com); however my doubts were unfounded as it definitely lived up to the reviews. We had a 2-bedroom apartment which was spacious, with 2 bathrooms (one was ensuite to the master bedroom), both bedrooms and living room have airconditioning. there are TVs in the master bedroom and living room. As other reviewers have mentioned, the kitchen is very well fitted out, and you can buy individual washing machine/dishwasher tablets from reception. The reception staff (Spanish) and bar staff (English) were all very helpful, polite, friendly, a problem with our apartment at check in was very promptly sorted out. Wifi is being fitted in the aparments, but at the time we stayed was only available (free) in the reception area. A bit more on the pool, as it is hard to tell from the photos, there are 2 pools, the smaller one (freeform and maybe 10-12 m in length) is shallow but fine for swimming, and the other is quite deep, and around 15m long, again it's freeform in shape; there is a lifeguard on duty through most of the day. There is also a small round paddling pool. The only other thing to mention is that while we don't have any mobility issues, this complex seems well set up for anyone who does, with ramp access to everything (inc the pool and even a chair/hoist thing so really anyone who wants can access the pool). All in all a very nice relaxing stay in a small complex that didn't feel crowded although it was pretty much full.

We had 6 nights at this fantastic complex in march2013, everything said in previous reviews is spot on. We have visited playa blanca many times but jardines is far and away the best. It is a little bit out of the way but we walked it in and taxi back approx 3.5 euros. Everything spotless throughout the villa and grounds. Pool area was brilliant plenty of beds and no early morning rush to make sure you got one. All the staff including the maintenance men were really friendly always taking the time to have a chat, all in all a really top draw complex highly recommended and we WILL be back

Not much point in repeating the other excellent reviews. The comments in respect of Hire car are sensible - Teguise market is also worthwhile visiting on a Sunday morning if you do get a car. Super accommodation, clean & well appointed, with very clean, tidy well manicured gardens. The only criticism we had were the walls between apartments were very thin - not good when someone else's snoring from next door keeps you awake!
Giant chess, mini-golf, pool & ping pong all on offer with little or no charge. The on-site restaurant was a bit disappointing for us - very English with English food on offer - not something that floats our boat after making the effort to fly all that way to a Spanish island! It is handy however, and can't complain about the quality or friendliness of the place, just not our cup of tea. Lovely walk down to the long promenade where you can take your pick from shops & restaurants. We also walked up the Volcano behind the apartments most days - exciting for the kids as you can walk in to the old crater & the whole walk is just over an hour & the views from just half way up are pretty spectacular. Papagayo beaches are a must to just laze & snorkel, or as a walk. Be warned - there are some nudist bathers though! All in all, lovely accommodation & a lovely island. Be careful though - the constant breeze does lull you in to thinking the sun isn't as hot as it actually is - plenty of sun screen recommended.

Room Tip: Rooms towards the back of the complex are furthest away from the main road - ask for apartment numbe...

Fully equipped this little briton oasis in Playa Blanca 15 minutes walking from the nearest beach Playa Flamingo. Bodum cups, blender, DVD player (we watched a "Dumbo" dvd with our baby) , Ipod-Iphone speaker, 2 Sony flat screens and good mattress. You can enjoy your own balcony with your hammock looking at the sea. One more thing: the sun, always the lovely and charming sun that it doesn´t fit in the suitcase. I´ll come back.

Well appointed bungalows and villas, all spotlessly clean and cared for set amongst perfectly manicured gardens. Staff exceptionally helpful whatever the request or problem. o wonder this is rated the number one resort in Playa Blanca. We'll be back next year with an even bigger group of family and friends. I'd recommend car hire to make the most of experiencing Lanzarote - even if it's only to take the ten minute drive to to spectacular Papagayo beaches!

We've just come back from our wonderful Easter holiday in Lanzarote and our staying at Jardines del sol was a highly satisfactorying experience
tha staff was were nice and helpfull, the resort is well-kept and clean. Moreover the house was spacious and fully-equipped (dish-washer,washing machine, boiler, coffemaker, toaster, a real fridge...) the pools are clean and we never had any problems in finding sun loungers
there's a small restaurant where we had a light lunch and the food was ok and reasonably priced.
it's a quiete and ralaxing place to stay, we really enjoyed breakfast in the patio.
I 'd recommend it
