Spent a week here with my husband. It is not a classic 5 star hotel, it is a very good 4 star but probably the best on the island. The setting in Playa Blanca us perfect, you only have to walk out the back of the private entrance to hotel and you are on the beautiful playa dorado beach. It is a massive hotel with 3 a la carte restaurants and 2 buffet restaurants and a restaurant next to pool for lunch. We stayed on 6th floor in junior suite sea view and it was really lovely. We did not have the problem of palm trees obstructing our view of the sea like other reviewers mentioned. The junior suite was spacious with a little kitchenette and seperate sitting area with balcony with sunloungers. The only gripe I had about the room was that were expecting a king bed but really was too single beds pushed together with separate sheets for both, so really sleeping in two single beds side by side!! The decor is a little dated but it is spotlessly clean and comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely fantastic with a huge choice. The staff were very friendly and warm. The italian a la carte restaurant was not at all good, it was ok but 3 star at best and expensive for what you got. The japanes restaurant was the star, we went twice, it is amazing! The chef cooks the tempanyaki food in front of you and it quite a show. The food here is to die for!!! There are lovely restaurants at the Marina Rubicon just a few minutes walk from the hotel. These restaurants are much nicer than the ones in town of playa blanca. I dont have children but I really must recommend this hotel for families. I will defintely be coming bacj when I have kids!! It is so stress free. The swimming pools are large and fab for parents andt here little kids. Kiko from kikoland comes to breakfast every morning and takes photos with the kids which they love! The hotel is so big you feel as if there arenet many other people staying. There is a kiddies disco every night for the little ones and fantastic facilites for children to play. People do put there towels on the sunloungers early in the morning but we had no problem getting lovely spots by the pool despite this. We really enjoyed this relaxing week and I would definitely recommend this hotel as probably one of nicest in Lanzarote.

It is great to read that you were happy with your room and the situation of the hotel in Playa Blanca for exploring the local area. Regarding your comment about the king size bed in the room, as we are a hotel that caters for many types of guests (including single travellers and business people) we have a variety of single and king mattresses and we are sorry that on this occasion we were unable to satisfy your requirements, however if you decide to return; which we hope you do… make sure you request a king size mattress on your reservation, this way we can ensure that you have this on arrival.
Once again thank you very much for your feedback, and we are very pleased that you enjoyed your stay here with us and are thinking of returning.
