“awful!!!!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2014

This was probably the worst place I have been to in Playa Blanca and I have lived here for three years and eaten out every single week.
On arrival I asked what the house wine was. The waiter decided to make us the victim of his stupid sense of humour and told us the house wine is from Catalonia and is dreadful and to pick another, which made all the people on other tables laugh at our expense. Not a good start!! He then told us he has been trying to get his boss to buy in a Rioja from Lanzarote...in turn insulting our intelligence about wines from Lanzarote!!!! I informed him that Rioja is a wine region in mainland Spain, he was not best pleased. So his attempt at up selling to a more expensive bottle of wine and airing his political views about regions of Spain, we ordered another bottle. They didn't have the one we chose. So we chose yet another.
The starter was incorrect and was obviously my husbands fault (does garlic bread and fried peppers sound similar to you?)
On ordering the main course, I asked what comes with the fish and he said 'you tell me'
I said 'no, you tell me'
He said 'no, you tell me'
How on earth has this kind of service not been noticed before!! Its always very busy, so we presumed it was because it was a great place to eat. The prices are incredibly cheap and to be fair, the food was ok. But the whole dining experience for us was ridiculous, and I cannot believe with all the amazing places to eat Playa Blanca has to offer, one like this slips through the net. Needless to say....we will NOT ever be returning!!!!

“Lovely Tapas”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 15, 2014

You could have a tradional starter main and dessert or they did tapas and snacks. One night we went for the traditional meal, and the second night had tapas. The tapas were very good and very reasonably priced.

“Not as good as we remembered”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2014

We've been many times in the past, but only once in our three weeks in Playa Blanca this year.

We were chilled as the restaurant faces the street and it has no real barrier to the really biting wind that night. We were firmly placed forward, even though there were tables further in as the staff seem to like to fill from the front to give a popular appearance to the street.

The service was just OK, but the meal was disappointing in that we both chose chips and they were soggy and greasy.

We may not go again.

“Perfecto”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2014 via mobile

Have had two excellent meals here, service is great. Gets really busy around 8-8.30 and is very popular with the locals, and as they say find out where the locals eat and you can't go wrong.
