I'm in Marea now. It is a beautiful bar with an amazing view of the atlantic. The cocktails are fine, not the best you will ever have, but good enough. The best thing about this place is the view and the chilled seating/music plus the staff are lovely. I've been here 3 years on the trot (so it can't be that bad!)- just felt the need to comment on the food. The food on the menu is the typical selection of salads, baguettes, and toasted sandwiches. We ordered here for the first time today, I can honestly say that what arrived was horrid. How can a toasted sandwich horrible? It was dry, one piece of plastic ham and one piece of plastic cheese. The tuna salad was worse, €6.50 for a minuscule plateful which contained chopped iceberg lettuce, 5 bite size pieces of smoked tuna, a few cubes of feta and a bit of tomato and olives. Not impressive. They apparently send out to a local restaurant 'Sebastians' for the food. Well I would suggest that they find a better place as the food definitely doesn't live up to any other aspect of this Place.
