“baby squid”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 10, 2013

food is great, good atmosphere, but service is slow. But that adds to the whole thing. And the baby squid is totally awesome.

“Anotehr good find in Lanzarote”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 9, 2013

This is probably one of the best Taps bars on the Island. It has a delicatessen up stairs selling wine and cheeses, meats and specialist condiments . The menu is varied with some nice tasting menu options as well. The wine list is extensive and the staff knowledgeable, we left them guide us and enjoyed a super choice. There are cheaper tapas bars on the Island , but none match the quality of the produce here, interestingly enough there is another Taps bar in 5 Star hotel up the road charging twice the price for both wine and food and its simply not at the races in terms of quality of food or service. We had a meal for 2 adults , 2 children and a very good bottle of wine for €75.

“Terrific tapas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013

We loved it here. Other reviewers are somewhat critical of the prices but you get what you pay for and this was by far the best place in Playa Blanca for tapas. They were also very family friendly and the service was great.

“Food OK price toppy.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2013

Looking at menu prices for what really is tapas portions looked pretty high. If we had gone for half a dozen dishes to share it could have been Eur 80-90. As it was we decided on one of the tasting menus which at Eur28 per person seemed better value with 2glasses of wine and small water bill was Eur75. There were plenty of dishes and we were certainly sated by the end. We both had hippy tummies so cannot say for certain the cause but seemed coincidental hopefully it wasn't something we ate.
I think some of these European islands are pricing themselves out of business. I am happy to pay top prices for top food in top surrounding but sadly looking out at ferry ships passing and public walking by does not provide it therefore ingredients are overpriced for a village not big city.
