“Beautiful!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2011

We stayed in the Natura garden apartments and got to use all of the facilities of this beautiful hotel.

Playa Blanca is the newer part of lanzarote, gorgeous hotels and promendade, much more of a chill out place when compared to porto del carman (where you get plenty of the 'lookie, lookie, and would you like to eat here.. messing about).

You can walk or get a taxi for 4euros, or bus for 1euro to Papagaya, Harbour, or Marina.
Car Hire for only 30euro, you can drive to the national park, where its only 8euro for entrance and only 8euro to ride the Camels, I can't believe how cheap this place is!! We also drove to Porto del Carman to get a feel for the place.

Boat to Feurterventura only 20euro, 20mins. This hotel is a great location. In May its a little quiet but its so nice we really did'nt mind.

We loved the Natura Palace hotel and apartments. The hotel reception staff were great and you got the same service regardless of whether you were staying in the hotel rooms of apartments. The apartments are huge by the way!

The hotel is spacious, very clean and the pool area well screened from passers by on the promenade, unlike many of the other hotels to the west of the harbour at Playa Blanca. The service in the dining room and bars is excellent, cost of drinks reasonable and the selection and standard of the food is very good. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Avoid rooms between 1047 and 1054.

If this is No.2 in Playa Blanca the rest must be dire.
No tea/coffee making facilities, you have to hire a kettle for €7.50!
If you want an iron you have to hire one for €12
To use the fridge costs you €9. Ours didn't work anyway, it took 4 days of constant reminders to get a replacement.
Penny pinching!!!!!!!!!
The ATM in the hotel charges 4%, next nearest is 20 minutes walk away
Room service is from 1300 to 1600 (!) and costs €6 on top of pool bar prices
This is a non smoking hotel, you can't even smoke in the grounds except in designated areas, or on your balcony, on which by the way, the lights go out at 1030, so you can't even sit out if you want to. You have no control over this.
You have a choice of 2 english newspapers, the Sun and the Daily Express, they get in about 6 copies of each which are gone within 2 minutes of the hotel shop opening.
We had ants in our bathroom washbasin.
Food generally boring and lukewarm.
No instructions for telephone
Staff friendly enough
Reception area vast but soulless
Evening entertainment dreadful, doesn't start properly until 2200, after the entertainments officer has asked you in 4 different languages whether you are having a great time and then introduces the acts, again in 4 different languages, who then again tell you who they are.........in 4 different languages. At least that cuts down the length of time they sing, all very amateurish.
Crazy golf flooded most of the time we were there so that was unuseable.
I could go on but I am getting bored which is what I was most of the time on Lanzagrotty, there is nothing worthwhile going to see on the island. We hired a car for 3 days, had seen everything in one.
All in all very disappointing, will never go again.
My advice is go to Mallorca.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool area

Hotel now 10 years old but exceptionally well maintained inside and out. Has capacious light and airy public rooms, very clean and comfortable. Staff are helpful, friendly and efficient. All bedrooms (beds are firm) have sea view, of good size and well decorated, good size ensuite bathrooms conaining quality fittings and bath robes. Location: Some 2.5km west of Playa Blanca and a 35 min walk along a good paved promenade, facing the sea with uninterupted views across to Ferteventura. Pool Area: Adequate sun terraces with two swimming pools, one sea water, one freshwater plus a childrens pool. They don't appear to be heated. Max depth of adult pools is 1.6m. The pool area has good quality sun beds and umbrellas though after 09:15 most sun beds have been reserved. Complaints to the hotel management last week (14/4) have resulted in 100 additional sun beds being ordered. This should solve the problem. The pool area is constantly being swept and the surrounding gardens are immaculately kept. Pool towels are available with a deposit and changed at reception very 3 days. Security: Safes are available at a charge and are behind reception not in the room. Meals: Large restaurant with guests being seated by the Maitre D' at each meal time, quick service means you don't have to queue. All meals are buffet style though it is not like feeding time at the zoo, like some other hotels. Tables are sized for 4 though mostly only 2 sitting at them with ample space. Food quality and selection is good always fresh and in abundance with chefs cooking steaks, fish etc while you wait. Staff very efficient and well dressed, look professional. Entertainment: The ground level piano bar has 3 different pianists playing in rotaion. All are good. The evening entertainment in the theatre on the lower level is varied but the acts are only average, in my opinion. Negative features: Nothing major. Bathroom towels are only changed on request, bedding is changed every 3 days and unlike the Spanish and German guests, who have 6-8 TV channels the Brits have 2 news channels and a travel channel!
Overall: A quality hotel in a quiet location with great views and a place to visit again. It maitains high standards of customer service.

This should be the near perfect hotel for couples looking for that quiet and relaxing break in the sun; but it's not. The problem is that the the hotel is overrun with screaming kids who seem to be totally unsupervised by their parents. Unfortunately the hotel allows those in the self catering apartments next door to share all the facilities and this leads to overcrowding and arguments around the pool and in the Dining Room - and lots of noise!
We have stayed here 10 plus times over the last 6 years and will definitely not be returning until the hotel amends its policy.

A very spacious and modern quality hotel worthy of its 4 star ranking. We had an excellent room with a large terrace with all day sun and a sea view. The hotel has all of the amenities that you will want, inside and outdoors. There is a promenade all along the sea front at Playa Blanca which goes for at least two miles and there are plenty off stop-off / refreshment opportunities along the way. The hotel was busy even in February and had a mixture of nationalities. The main age group was 50+ so the atmosphere was tranquil. Night time entertainment in the hotel was of a high standard with alternative options elsewhere in Playa Blanca and beyond. I would recommend hiring a car for 1 or 2 days to really explore the island at your own pace. The food at the hotel (self-service buffet), although plentiful, was OK without being exceptional and the options to dine out in the resort were many and affordable, so I maybe would not go on a half-board basis again. Currency exchange rates locally were significantly better than in the UK.

We were pleased with our choice of hotel. For us the location was perfect; a quieter position than hotels nearer Playa Blanca and we enjoyed the walk along the prom in both directions. The hotel restaurant is huge, and we chose just bed & breakfast, as we prefer to eat out. I haven't seen a recent posting which mentions the sea front bars to the lighthouse side of the hotel - just 4 minutes walk. Above the bars, and at road level, there is the choice of 4 restaurants and we would recommend one of the Italian restaurants - Luna Rossa. Good food, friendly service & reaonably priced.
Sadly the hotel has a procedure of charging €9 to have the mini bar emptied. We paid on arrival but felt it was penny pinching. (Then on departure they tried to charge us for what we'd used from the mini bar!)

Room Tip: Climbing Montana Roja? Access via wooden bridge
