Just arrived back after a week at the Sol Post. We were looking for a quiet week just before the winter so we picked this hotel knowing the clubs had closed and from the other reviews it looked just perfect. we arrived at the hotel around 6.30pm and checked in with the guy behind the desk, his english was not to clever but he was more than helpfull, shame about the young girl moaning at him about needing to get into her room as she needed her tampons. The Apartment was ideal with kitchen, 2 single beds which were pushed together, large lounge and bathroom. The only choice you realy have to make is do you have an apartment over looking the pool area were the sun go's down around 2pm or an apartment on the main road were you get the late evening sun and a gorgeous sunset but traffic noise we had room 302 over looking the road. We opted for the al inclusive option and ventured down for our first meal around 8pm the dinning room was clean and the food layout was good. The salad selection consisted of approx 16 bowls followed by a choice of 8 hot dishes, one always a pasta the rest varied from fresh fish, beef, chicken or pork meals, some rice and chips every evening but all freshly cooked and trays changed as soon as they were empty. Deserts were adequate always cream cakes, jelly, moouse, ice cream, half peaches in a large bowl and fresh fruit.Fresh bread rolls and of course you could go back as often as you liked. The following morning breakfast was a choice of 5-6 cereals, toast, jam, ham, cheese, tea and coffee and as much bacon, eggs, sausage, mushrooms, omlettes, beans and freshed cooked eggs, fried, scramblled and boiled, cakes and fruit as you can eat and again always hot and fully stocked. the coffee machine is not the best but good enough. Dinner was the same again a good choice of hot and cold meals with plenty to go around. if you go there expected more flash than 3 star food then you might be diappointed but go there expecting adequate food then you'll be full everyday. The pool area was cleaned and tided each evening, it did have the odd cracked tile but nothing dangerous. The pool was teasted each morning for the chlorine level and topped up if needed. The water was a bit nippy but with 80 degree heat it was most welcome, sun loungers were in need of repair and it did take a while to find decent one and if the hotel was packed this might be a problem. The pool bar served hot and cold drinks from 10am - 11pm each day in plastic cups maybe not the best but it did stop any glasses being smashed and causing cuts,The rooms were cleaned everyday except Monday and Thursdays but there was always a trolley left somewhere on each landing were you could get fresh towels. There was the odd person who moaned about something and everything but overall a excellent week, quiet and relaxing. would recomment this hotel to anyone looking for a 3star, would be a lot louder in high season but in October it was just what we were looking for.
