“Lovely hotel for the price :~)”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 22, 2012

Just arrived back after a week at the Sol Post. We were looking for a quiet week just before the winter so we picked this hotel knowing the clubs had closed and from the other reviews it looked just perfect. we arrived at the hotel around 6.30pm and checked in with the guy behind the desk, his english was not to clever but he was more than helpfull, shame about the young girl moaning at him about needing to get into her room as she needed her tampons. The Apartment was ideal with kitchen, 2 single beds which were pushed together, large lounge and bathroom. The only choice you realy have to make is do you have an apartment over looking the pool area were the sun go's down around 2pm or an apartment on the main road were you get the late evening sun and a gorgeous sunset but traffic noise we had room 302 over looking the road. We opted for the al inclusive option and ventured down for our first meal around 8pm the dinning room was clean and the food layout was good. The salad selection consisted of approx 16 bowls followed by a choice of 8 hot dishes, one always a pasta the rest varied from fresh fish, beef, chicken or pork meals, some rice and chips every evening but all freshly cooked and trays changed as soon as they were empty. Deserts were adequate always cream cakes, jelly, moouse, ice cream, half peaches in a large bowl and fresh fruit.Fresh bread rolls and of course you could go back as often as you liked. The following morning breakfast was a choice of 5-6 cereals, toast, jam, ham, cheese, tea and coffee and as much bacon, eggs, sausage, mushrooms, omlettes, beans and freshed cooked eggs, fried, scramblled and boiled, cakes and fruit as you can eat and again always hot and fully stocked. the coffee machine is not the best but good enough. Dinner was the same again a good choice of hot and cold meals with plenty to go around. if you go there expected more flash than 3 star food then you might be diappointed but go there expecting adequate food then you'll be full everyday. The pool area was cleaned and tided each evening, it did have the odd cracked tile but nothing dangerous. The pool was teasted each morning for the chlorine level and topped up if needed. The water was a bit nippy but with 80 degree heat it was most welcome, sun loungers were in need of repair and it did take a while to find decent one and if the hotel was packed this might be a problem. The pool bar served hot and cold drinks from 10am - 11pm each day in plastic cups maybe not the best but it did stop any glasses being smashed and causing cuts,The rooms were cleaned everyday except Monday and Thursdays but there was always a trolley left somewhere on each landing were you could get fresh towels. There was the odd person who moaned about something and everything but overall a excellent week, quiet and relaxing. would recomment this hotel to anyone looking for a 3star, would be a lot louder in high season but in October it was just what we were looking for. Well done Sol Post:

Hi there i just wanted to express my view on this hotel, after reading the reviews online i was slightly scared about what i was getting myself into. I went on holiday with two of my friends we are all mid twenties, and wanted a cheap holiday stay in Ibiza so we could have somewhere to lay our heads between clubbing. It cost us 400 pounds for 10 nights all inclusive. We were not expecting the red carpet rolled out but were not disappointed whatsoever about what we experienced. We arrived the hotel was ideally situated on a street with shops and bars, it costs about 8 euros to get to the main strip in San Antonio but was ideal. It is about 10 minute walk from an ideallic beach, don't bother with transfers just get a taxi outside the airport cost us about 25 euro. The hotel room was large had seperate areas for the kitchen and had a lovely large balcony facing the pool. On our first day the balcony door was broken but we reported it and it was fixed within 24 hours. Air conditioning was included, the staff were friendly, the maids lovely and said morning to us everyday cleaned 8 days out of the 10 we were there! The food was fine, lots of variety and saved us a packet as it meant we didn't have to eat out every night. We still went out for lunch and dinner some days but we liked the fact we didn't have to think about paying some days for food and drink. Great selection of drinks in the all inclusive so great as a pre drinking session. We managed to get sunloungers most days but the days we didnt we just cruised round the pool on lilos or went off to the beach/san an. To get to the main clubs Amnesia/Pacha costs about 25 euros or so. But we found we could get the water taxi over then the party bus which cost very little. The water taxi is great too nice way to see the island!

In the hotel there was a mixture of families and young people, i would say it is probably best for families with older children or young party goers as the mix was a bit strange you would have loud music some nights and really young kids staying there can't imagine that being ideal for a parent. But hey you are going to IBIZA so i have no idea what some people expect.

I would highly recommend this hotel for young adults who want somewhere decent to stay inbetween experiencing the Ibiza life!

Not a bad place to stay for what you expect from a 3*. All inclusive food wasn't all that. We found that we ate out most of the time but I did have breakfast everyday which was okay. We had to check out at 12 midday and we were getting picked up til 12am midnight and they let us go back into an apartment for a shower in the evening which was nice.
The only bad thing really were the sunbeds. Old, tatty, uncomfortable and falling to pieces. No hope in hell of sunbathing on those. Best to go to the beach!

Room Tip: Choose an apartment and not a room. I had an apartment and my friends had a room. The same price and...

I booked this trip in a hurry and didn't had time to look at other options, The price was right so there we went. To start, the driver didn't know were the hotel was and got lost, so we arrived at 9pm. Made the check in and asked about dinner: " Sorry, the dinner ends at 9 and its now ten past nine!" We were 6, with 2 children of 4 and 8 years that travelled all day and were tired and hungry. YOU JUST DON'T DO THAT TO PEOPLE. They didn't try to help us, didn't speak to the manager, nothing. I was too tired to start my vacations that way, so went to the restaurant next door. The apartment was basic but clean and faced the pool. I usualy like to sleep after lunch with my kids to avoid the worst of the sun, but exactly at that time, they putted loud music witch made it impossible to sleep. And they have a sign saying that the pool is a music free zone! On our trip back i asked for a picnic bag as we were checking out before lunch. They said that i didn't had lunch included in the day of check out. I hasked about the two meals that i paid for and didn't had on the check in day and they said there was not there problem. People like this should not be allowed in the hotel business!

Room Tip: Choose another hotel.

Just got back from Sol Post and was very diapppointed with the hotel. i went with my 7 yr old boy..When we arrived, the receptionist gave us a key and directed us to roomon first floor - did not mention lift was broken. i Had to carry 2 suitcases upstairs. not a great start. The room was clean and had everytthing we needed and overlooked pool.
The main problem was the groups of young men around the pool during the day - swearing, drinking, dominating pool area and then coming in at all hours of morning, shouting, jumping in pool. Felt embarrased to be British with these drunken yobs. I saw security guard once but no one of authority to sort them out. We spent most of day out - went to a beach short walk away near sea view hotel, which was lovely- the one across the road is rocky.
food okay but all-inclusive option is awful! snacks was half sandwich in cling film and rich tea biscuits. or tiny containers of ice-cream. Juice is watered down and my son hated it. Wine okay though! food ok in hotel, nothing special. staff not friendly in dining room but they probably had to deal with lots of these groups of ignorant pigs who have no idea how to behave in social situations, especially when children are around.
the other thing is there was no stuff for kids - one evening of entertainment, a magic show - brill. there is stuff going on outside hotel, amusement park etc but you end up paying out again.

hi just got back from the sol post my hubbie and 3 sons , i must say it was better than expected for the price , the food was really good for all inclusive , good selection and lovely clean reasteraunt , the shower broke in our room on the first day and was fixed within an hour ,the maids came in the room 3 times in 5 days to clean room and give us fresh towels ,a lot off young people in hotel but you are in ibiza so its to be expected , a water taxi will take you over to the harbour just down the road. local chinese next door lovely meal i would recommend , bars and shops literally on your doorstep great location , beach 5 mins walk away .the only downside i could find in this hotel is the pool area could be cleaner and they need new subeds as a lot are broken and uncomfortable noyt many sunshades so its hard to get out of the sun when round the pool , but dont listen to the bad reviews , go and enjoy you get what you pay for i found this a bargain one more thing the guys outside the hotel selling glasses and all over ibiza are actually selling drugs its so obvious so please stay clear of them

Room Tip: ask for a pool veiw , in hotel not apatments much nicer

Myself and 4 other female friends stayed here for our 10 night girls holiday, and after reading the reviews i was really quite nervous about what it would be like. For £499 for 10 nights i simply could barely fault the place. On arrival in the early hours of the morning, there was a rather rude receptionist on the desk, and i thought, "oh here we go". But he turned out to be the only negative, and that was the only night we saw him. The room was very clean, lots of storage for clothes and toiletries etc, and i must say, i found the beds really comfortable! Air con in the rooms too, and a small balcony area. The maid did a great job each day on cleaning the rooms and re-stocking towels etc. The pool area was fab! Lovely palm trees dotted around, little children's pools and a park, and two big pools. The sunbeds weren't too comfortable but with the over 30 or so inflatable lilo's available for anyone to use, this was easily sorted :) Aqua aerobics was available pretty much every day, and the pool areas were cleaned thoroughly every night. We stayed all inclusive, and having drinks on tap was definitely the right choice. You could have Fanta lemon/orange, coke, sprite, and also any alcohol you wanted after 10am through to 11pm. The food reviews said the food was repetitive and bland....NOT the case! I was very happy with the food every day and was all self service! For breakfast there was a choice of cereals, cakes, toast and jams, cooked breakfast, and also cold meats, and fruit. For lunch and dinner there was a full choice of salad, then things like cold rice mixed with veg, and coleslaw etc, then a soup of the day, then things such as, pasta and sauces, beef or pork, chicken nuggets, noodles, haddock or a fish of the day, chips, pizza, lasagne, mashed potato, vegetables, bread rolls, chicken breasts etc, then a dessert buffet, of ice creams, jelly, cream cakes, biscuits, fruit selection including watermelon and peaches etc. And if you didnt like the food (which didnt happen to us), then theres a supermarket about 10 steps across from the hotel. The night entertainment was okay, its not amazing, but fine to watch with a nice drink before heading elsewhere. The reception staff (other than the first guy we saw) were very friendly and helpful, although could maybe do with knowing a little more english, but it was fine :) overall we had a really good stay in this hotel, and i would definitely come back and stay here again. Personally, i dont know what all the bad reviews are about? In 10 nights, we encountered 0 problems and all had a lovely stay here! Take my word for it, for value, you will not be disappointed :)

Room Tip: We stayed in the apartments, and not the rooms, so maybe choose to stay in one of the apartments for...
