we stayed in the marian apartments last month, i wouldnt go back. the apartments are clean and located very central but the staff are moody arseholes. one minute theyre youre best friend the next theyre spitting at you and shouting in spanish. if you come home at night and are making noise, the night watch man turns off all your electricity and air con , and threatens to ring the police. the apartments themselves are ok, clean enough but the staff were enough to put me off. also, although the apartments only have 30 odd rooms, the swimming pool is open to the public, so every day the pool is full of spainsh and english people just walking in off the street,leaving no sunbeds to the people who are actually staying there, its advertised with a tennis court,but it is actually extra to rent that. i wouldnt go back anyway,unless i was just looking or somewhere cheap again

Situated in a residential area of san antonio away from the noisey west end area(5mins walk), these apartments are furnished very basicly. They carry the scars of many a good party down through the years as most of the holidaymakers put in there by package holiday tour operators, are groups of young adults 18-30, who are there for a cheap and cheerfull holiday and to have as much fun as possible.
That said ,the apartments are spotlessley clean and are very well run (everything works!), they have a lovely big pool, that gets the sun all day, a 7 a side footbal pitch, and a squash court, pool tables and other amusments.The food is your basic English menu, but done well and very good value.
You are close to Cafe Mambo and the sunset strip (10mins walk) and to a lovley beach (cala grasio), but most people seemed content to sit by the pool all day. Also seems to be popular with couples (25-35 agegroup) and as budget apartments go, the marian apartments would definatley be one of the better ones. Not suitable for families or young children as there may be too much drinking, messing, partying, late night shouting and noise going on. Not a place to be if you want to relax and take it easy, but if you want to party and have a good time with likeminded people, well this is the place for you!
