“not so all inclusive.”

Nereida Aparthotel

Jul 21, 2008

Hi
Just back from the Nereida on the 20th july 2008.
This holiday was booked through First Choice as an all inclusive
deal for 2 weeks. The Accommodation is clean and kept tidy with the cleanners in your room every day. The area is not to bad as there is everything you need in close proximity Bars, shops, and restaurants. The pictures in the the broucher are not to accurate as the sandy beach in the picture is a good mile away. The nearest useable beach is about 600 metres away, and the picture of the kids playing in the garden is not true as there are singes telling you to keep of the Grass. The food was good but,
it is hard to please everyone on this type of Holiday.so go with some cash just incase. The Staff were generally quite good
and willing to help if you had a problem.
The only complaint ourselves and some other couples had were when ordering drinks (ALL INCLUSIVE ONLY) the bar staff would only give you a drink if the one you were drinking was finished how silly is that. They actually whent out and checked you table
and reported back to the counter and then refused to serve you.
In the broucher the all inclusive is discribed as UNLIMITED FOOD AND LOCALLY PRODUCED ALCOHOLIC AND NON ALCOHOLIC DRINKS this is not the case in this hotel. Also there are no evening snacks. I would recomend this aparthotel for familys but take a copy of the broucher to point out what you actually are intitled to reguards food and drinks.BY the way you can bye as much as you like at any time ie,10 drinks on your table.

“Nereida.. good points and bad”

Nereida Aparthotel

Jun 23, 2008

I have just returned from the nereida with my boyfriend as we went for his 21st and my 19th birthday, The hotel is lovely and the staff are really nice, expecially the entertainers jorge and claudia, we got on really well with them. Hotel is clean, and the maid service is great. The food is horrible so i reccomend that you dont go all inclusive unless you like battered collyflower, soggy chips or overcooked soggy rice. Even the snack bit..uncooked sausages i mean they were literally the colour they are when raw.soggy left over chips from lunch, and horrible cold burgers. We ended up eating out most of the time. It is edible, but made me and my boyfriend ill. And also it gets very boring ,we stayed for 2 weeks, and all there was for 2 weeks was a choice of salad.. (which was always lettuce tomato and cucumber) then you had cold pasta which had either fish in it or just random things they decided to throw in.Then you got a choice of hot pasta which was probably the only nice thing there. And then the meat which was either uncooked, chewy or just plain horrible. The food you pay for behind the bar is actually nicer than the all inclusive food. Im not a veggi but if you are then there is nothing for you as it all contains some kind of meat. The food is left over from the days before because its funny how one night you will have something and then the next day it would be the same but either battered or breadcrumbed to look like something different! The fresh fruit was lovely though. The entertainment was really good, the crazy kids disco had the little ones running around and dancing etc. Claudia and Jorge are lovely aswell, really friendly. We stayed at the hotel a few nights for the entertainment although we constantly went to 'casablanca' which is literally straight up the road from the hotel and the first bar/restaurant you see! was brilliant in there, as its an english bar and held brilliant entertainment and bingo every night, and jackie in there is hillarious, and a great singer too!! we saw a really funny drag queen in there which had us in stitches! honestly if you go here you will not be dissapointed! .We were leaving nereida on the 19th of june although our flight technically was friday morning. And the all inclusive finishes at midday on the day of departure. So we went and complained as we werent leaving untill half 11 at night, And we got told we were aloud lunch and dinner but not aloud any drinks! (but we sneaked a couple of glasses of water from the machine as they cant expect us not to have a drink in that heat and by this time we had no money left to buy anything!) So technically we had payed all inclusive from the 6th -19th and we didnt arrive until 3am on the 7th and our flight home was at ten to 2 on the 20th so we missed days of our all inclusive. This is a really lovely hotel and if i went again i would go self catering. There is loads to do away from the hotel as well there is a road full of bars and restaurants which is great, but the bars are more for the youngsters! Me and my boyfriend spent alot of time and money there!!, You can also get a taxi boat across to san antonio which costs 2 euro 50. And san antonio is amazing for its night life! over all a nice place to go but trust me when i say dont go all inclusive! i most probably would return as got really close to the hotel staff and its a nice relaxing place to be.

“Great value hotel”

Nereida Aparthotel

We stayed at this hotel in July 2007. We were in Ibiza for my daughters wedding at Cala Conta and had to find accommodation that would suit over 50 people aged from 14 months to 70+ years that were coming out for the wedding. Some people wanted apartments and others wanted half board. Some wanted to be in a quiet area and others wanted the discos. This hotel was just across the bay from the night life of San Antonio yet was in a very quite cul - de - sac very near sufficient restaurants and bars that were very family friendly. The beach is quite rocky but there was enough room for us to put loungers on and sunbathe away from noise. The sea is accessable down some steps. It was very easy to wander from beach to pool as they are next to each other.
The swimming pool though uninterestingly square was always clean, warm and only got a bit crowded in the afternoons. There was a small children's paddling pool which the younger members of our party loved. (Aged 15 months) Some of our group upgraded to the 1 bedroom apartments which were well worth the few extra pounds as were quite spacious. The studios were quite small.
The staff were all very helpful and cheerful. The food was fairly basic but we found there was always something we would like and the half board price included wine and beer with the meal.
All our family and friends that came out for the wedding had a brilliant time and felt the hotel was very good value for money.
There was entertainment on the stage near the pool most nights. Most of this was very good. There were also bars along the road to suit varying entertainment tastes. Some of our friends liked Paddy's the Irish bar with its singers and others prefered Kumarah's a Moroccan style sheesha bar that was down facing the sea, for watching the sunset and was very chilled.
The restaurant at Cala Conta where my daughters wedding reception was held was called S'illa Des Bosc and is well worth a night out with excellent food and the most stunning sunset.

“Excellent hotel”

Nereida Aparthotel

Oct 27, 2007

Stayed for a week at the Nereida from the 17th-24th October, really enjoyed the stay. Staff very helpful and pleasant on arrival, as where all staff throughout the stay. Food was very good always something to choose from. Spotlessly clean hotel, maid service everyday. Very nice pool area but a bit cold but it was October. Had a room right at the front, so beautiful sunsets from the balcony. Would definetley reccomend this hotel.

This hotel although not the most luxurious by a long way was very clean and if you were friendly to staff they were friendly to you. Four of lus travelled and had two room which we had adjacent to one another but at the back of the property and one of the reasons for going here wa sto witness the beautiful sunsets. We requested to rooms to the front and within a feww days were given exactly that no problem. the food was also very good with a good mixture for every taste including fish, pasta, salads great meat dishes and also great sweets. The staff were so friendly and efficient and our friends had a wedding anniversay whilst there and we arranged with the head waitress for champagne and she provided flowers and a beautifully decorated table which was reserved for us. The animation team of Melanie and Jorge were very good as were all the staff. The hotel was good as there were no loud people and a crowd of approx 20 young boys from England were not problem. So a good nights sleep could be had by all not matter what time you went to bed. I would certainly go back and as I am a travel agent have recommended to others to go.
