I stayed here back in early June 2014 with my wife, we are both late 20's to early 30's therefore my review is quite irrelevant as this Hotel as it currently sits is really for young groups of clubbers only. The standard of the rooms and available amenities certainly do not suit a couples holiday, saying that if the new hotel owners Azuline where to spend some more money to further upgrade the hotel especially the rooms and lobby bar this could be a real good money spinner considering it's central location. The pool located across the street is of ample size and a real bonus as not many hotels in this area at this price range have a pool, you are given a wrist band on arrival which gives you some discount in the hotel bar and pool bar which is good. The only issue we had during our stay was when the entire hotel had no water for around 12 hours or so which was a tad ridiculous but again comes down to a lack of investment and proper management. i have gave my overall rating as average and this is almost solely achieved thanks to the wonderful staff, unfortunately I didn't get any names but I'll try to describe them. Firstly the middle aged spanish lady at reception couldn't be more helpful or polite, she also complimented my clear northern irish accent which was nice and was very helpful with directions and recommending different restaurants. Also I'd like to mention the guy in the bar, again spanish I think and around mid 40's or so. The bar is a very under resourced and under used asset, we went to it a few times either before we left for a night out or if we arrived back early. It was always empty the reason being the lack of drinks available, the options were limited to draft beer or wine, that was it. The barman tried his best to make you feel welcome though, even bringing us out some langoustines on one occasion which I ate even though not liking them just to show him that it was appreciated but he generally cut a solitary figure most of the time mainly down to poor hotel management.
The staff really did make the experience bearable but you get what you pay for I guess, next time I'll try not to be such a cheapskate.
