“Great Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

What a great hotel. I travelled out to Ibiza with friends for a wedding. We wanted a nice clean hotel that offered a little more than the average self catering apartments you generally find in Ibiza.

The Bellamar is a little gem. Staff we're really helpful, the hotel was really clean and location was perfect. It's about a 15-20 minute walk into San Antonio, so far enough away from the night life when you want to be, but close enough as well.

The breakfast included was of a good standard and the pool was great, only issue was as ever it does get busy early in the day. As ever you have to pay extra for a safe and leave a deposit for pool towels but it was fine.

Would definitely stay here again.

After turning 18 recently, this was my first holiday away with my friends and we couldn't of made a better choice than staying at Bellamar.

We arrived quite late on in the night, yet the staff were on hand and willing to help with luggage. The same went for the rest of the week - if you ever needed to find out anything on where to go or find something, they were always helpful. Lovely staff.

We went half board, and throughout the week there was a wide range of food to choose from, I'd definitely say something for everyone!! I also liked the fact that the meals were a decent times, especially as a lot of us find it hard getting up after the night before!

The hotel room was amazing, spacious with comfy beds and a decent sized balcony. Luckily we had a sea view which meant that we could watch the sunset from our room. The hotel provides you with a TV which has plenty of English channels if that's what you want. The shower to my surprise was great, good pressure unlike some you get at hotels sometimes. And you also had the choice of the maid, who provided clean towels and tidied your room - godsend!

The pool area was a good size, plenty of sun loungers with parasols which meant that there wasn't a fight for one of a morning. Although I don't know if this will be the case later on in July/August. If you fancy spending your days out and about, I would definitely recommend Ibiza Town (Eivissa) which is a bus ride away from the station. Also Cala Bassa, Cala Tarida and Cala Gracio are well worthy of a visit, beautiful beaches! But there are so many to choose from so the choices are endless! All of which are available from the bus stop from over the road or the boats which leave from the Bay. The Hippy Market was also a good day out, although it did prove difficult to try and get there. And of course the strip, which is a 15 min walk from the hotel, where all the bars and clubs are. Or if you're into the bigger ones, there's Space, Amnesia etc which the hotel can tell you about.

All in all I really enjoyed myself and would recommend this hotel to anyone - lovely staff, excellent food, beautiful location - the list could go on! Thankyou, will definitely visit again! :)

This hotel is really lovely. We stayed at the end of June for 1 week and had a great time. The staff are very helpful and friendly, giving us advice on places to go and helping us hire a car. The hotel and rooms are absolutely spotless. The maids cleaned our room every day and believe me, there was not a mark left on it. Rooms are a great size. We had a seaview room at the side of the building, which had a great view on the sunset each night and evening sunshine. The pool area had lots of sunbeds and a large pool with a good selection of food, drinks (including cocktails) at the pool bar. There were also comfy cabana type areas near the pool, which were cool. We were on B&B basis and found the breakfast selection really good. We didnt tend to stay at the hotel in the evening but believe there was some entertainment. The hotel is in a great location too; 15-20 mins walk away from San Antonio and the sunset strip for places like Cafe Mambo and Cafe Del Mar. And Ocean Beach Club is 5 mins walk down the road so if you are planning on going to this new club on your trip, this hotel is in a great spot for you.

We come to Ibiza every year and have tried a few hotels. This is definitely our favourite and we will certainly be back next year. It cost us more than our usual hotels but its totally worth it.

I stayed here with 10 girls in June of 2013, hotel is clean and recently been renovated, rooms are spacious and fully equipped,
We stayed half board, breakfast was good and dinner was also as good with lots of choice,
Hotel staff were very helpful, poolside snack bar was good also, pizza's were stonebaked & would recommend the Goats Cheese Salad,
Pool area is nice & modern with lots of beds in different areas, including a jacuzzi, the hotel also has a spa but we didnt use this, some of the other girls used the facilites as they had a late flight and checked out early and used the showers to freshen up,
The hotel is a stones throw away from the Ocean Beach Club which is a really good day out would highly recommend this, you can walk around the bay on sidewalk all the way to the San Antonio which is a pleasent walk
We stayed five nights half board booked through Travel Republic for £207 per person sharing a double
Our room had a balcony but had a side view, I would think the Ocean front rooms have a lovely view across the bay, would definatley stay here again if I stayed this side of the Island, there is also a supermarket located just next door for purchasing water etc and a taxi rank just next door to that
All in all a very nice stay

Room Tip: You can purchase most club night tickets from reception and also hire a beach towel for 10 euros whi...

Just returned from The Bellamar, what a gorgeous hotel. The room was gorgeous, we paid for a sea view room defininately worth payng the extra. We got room 525 which is on the top floor, the middle room overlooking the pool in the pictures, you get a direct sea view. There is alot of english channels on the TV. The rooms are spotless and cleaned daily by the lovely staff.

I had e-mailed the hotel before we went because we had booked 3 rooms, and Austin had put the 2 single rooms next to each other as i had requested. The reception staff were always pleasant and helpful. The restaurant can get full at times and the staff dont prepare the tables quick enough fro the next guests coming in, all the food was excellent for breakfast and evening meal. My only major complaint about the hotel is lack of entertainment, for a 4 star hotel i would expect evening entertainment every night. The bar area and terrace is a lovely place to sit. The pool area is lovely but if you want a bed around the pool you do have be up at 9.00 am when they open the doors. Our hotel was civilised, but at the Hawaii you have to be a sprinter to get a bed around there pool.

If you are thinking of going to San Antonio bay pay the extra for a lush hotel. The hotel is situated directly behind the Hotel Hawaii, but the Bellamar is far superior. Take a trip in Eivissa ( Ibiza Town ) only 4€ return from the bus station in San Antonio. See the billionaire boats in the harbour.

Room Tip: Pay the extra for a sea view room. We had room 525 .

Very clean, relaxing hotel, welcoming staff with great food and beautiful views of ibizas sunset over the sea! My boyfriend and I stayed here for 10 nights half board in June. The room was very good size with large balcony, at first we had a room overlooking the side of the hotel but having requested a sea view room the manager kindly moved us. The sea views are beautiful! Food is great- loads of choice! Staff are very welcoming and helpful. Rooms cleaned everyday. Hotel close enough to west end 15 min walk) get the disco bus to the clubs from the bus station near the west end. This was an amazing holiday! San Antonio bay is beautiful and the hotel is across a road from the beach. Take a boat trip 9 euro return to calla bassa or calla conte- beautiful! We loved it here and will b back! Xxxx

I'm 26 and my girlfriends 23. We stayed at the hotel for a week in the middle of June, I had read the great reviews on here and knew to expect good things from the hotel, but was amazed that how true the reports were and better the hotel is worth the £1000 we payed plus more, from the staff to the comfort the location the food were all spot on. We went to the sunset strip and on sunset cruises but the best sunsets we saw were from the hotel absolutely gorgeous views with palm trees the beach and the magnificent sunset. Hotel very clean our room was cleaned every day. The pool area was amazing with actual beds around the pool and leather setes. I've never seen a hotel so well run. Although we only ate at the hotel at night twice the food was great and varied for a buffet, speaking to other couples around the hotel who ate there every night they said they couldn't fault it. The breakfast was great to they have a chef making eggs omelettes and scrabbled egg fresh for you. You can also help yourself to a champagne breakfast for no extra charge. Around the hotel If you walk to the left of the beach there is the quieter part of San Antonio with some smashing restaurants and some great bars I recommend el gaucho a steak house where they use a barbecue to cook all the meat. Irish bar called donnegans where they do karaoke was very popular with family's and young people. We went with Thomas cook who offered some great excursions for all ages including sunset cruises daytime boat parties sightseeing in ibiza town the hippy market trips to an island called el vedra and formentera supposed to be good. Next year going back for 2 weeks probably still not long enough though. Enjoy!
