“Brilliant Location, Fantastic Staff, Amazing Holiday”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2013

Me and a group of 9 friends decided to visit Ibiza this year and had quite a dilemma as to where we going to stay that was affordable, clean and accessible to everything in the surrounding area. This hotel is absolutely brilliant for all those aspects; The cleaners did a very thorough job everyday and always presented us with new towels every single day. The location of the hotel was also absolutely fantastic and we couldn't have hoped for better, it was literally only a 5 minute walk to the lively West End. The staff were also fantastic for us, recommending places to eat etc, look out for "Javier" in particular as he was the most friendly receptionist I have ever met at any hotel and always ensured that he had our keys ready for our group as soon as we stumbled through the door.

The hotel does have a nightguard called "Carlos" (or that's what we decided to name him anyway) who in all truthfulness is a bit of a bellend, but if you get on the right side of him then your stay will be even more pleasurable.

If i were to return to Ibiza (And i really hope i do) i would definitely use this hotel again and i would recommend it to anyone who would travel there in the future. The hotel is basic, but it's everything you need to enjoy your stay in Ibiza, especially when in every room there is a free air conditioning unit that runs all day!

Breakfast was my biggest problem. It is a buffet style breakfast that just sits there all morning, every time we managed to wake up in time for breakfast it was cold and was in tasteful. (Last thing you want to eat after a night on the drink) moving in from the breakfast the hotel was very clean and well maintained, maids in everyday! Supposed to be an 18-30 hotel yet you can't whisper past midnight? Suppose this is a good and bad thing, if you come back to your hotel p*****d I can assure you that you'll get a stern talking to about keeping your mouth shut. Made me feel abit like I was on a school trip.
The hotels in great location, 2 minutes away from where its all happening!! The rooms are good with 24/7 air con & fridge & satellite tv

Room Tip: Rooms with a balcony are essential

Coming to Ibiza for the first time I was slightly nervous as to where I could end up staying given its reputation for constant partying but this hotel was great! Yes, the majority of the guests were 18-30 yr old partiers but this is well managed by the hotel and there doesn't appear to me much nonsense taken by the hotel staff and security guard! Whilst the room I stayed in maybe wasn't the biggest ever, it was on the top floor on the corner with a massive balcony and was more out of the way of any noise. We hasn't too many noise issues from the other guests to be fair! There was the occasional shouting in the corridor or someone banging on a door but generally not for long and only on a couple of occasions during the week. If anything it was the maid who was the noisiest in the mornings! I was convinced she was purposely dropping things outside to wake the guests up!!
The hotel is really clean with the sheets and towels changed every day and basic shampoo and soaps replenished too.
The location is great, just a 5 min walk to the heart of the west end and 5 mins the other way to the Ibiza rocks complex and it's in a quiet enough area.
The pool which is across the road is always very busy with all the sun loungers cramped very closely together but it's not a bad sized pool and food and drink at the bar is reasonable enough. Again, I wouldn't recommend the pool for families as its mostly 18-30 year olds drinking and messing around!
My only real criticism would be that that the wifi never worked properly.
Overall, I was very happy with my stay here. I would go back but I think if I was to go back to Ibiza at all I would probably stay in cala d'en bossa as one other reviewer has also mentioned as it seems a lot nicer than the west end area!

Just come back from a girlie weekend away, hotel Tropical was very nice, the food wasn't bad good selection of food we was half board and they had a different theme night which was good.
the staff was very friendly and helpful too.
Only down fall was the noise if you want to sleep in the day or early mornings this Is not the place for you.
Me and my two friends must have had about 4 hours sleep a night.
We was only there for 4 days but we enjoy our sleep lol!
The location is very close to the West end where you will find cheap bars to drink and have laugh.
One place I must remand is Bora Bora Beach this is so lovely and only takes about 45 mins to get there on two buses, you have to get bus to Ibiza town then the number 14 to Bora Bora beach its the last stop on the bus.
Overall our break away was wicked, just shame about the noise.
If we was to come back we would stay in playa d'en bossa because it is closer to all the clubs and fab beach!!
Overall the holiday was fab. :)

Cannot fault this hotel in any way! Me and my friend (early 20's) arrived at 4am and found we had been placed in the smallest room known to man, no balcony, air con etc and were obviously devastated especially after paying extra for a balcony when booking. I must admit our first impression of the hotel wasn't great, however that all changed the next morning after speaking to the hotel's manager (I can't remember her name but she was a really lovely lady). She apologised profusely for the room mix up and within the hour we were moved to a much bigger room with a balcony, pool view, fridge, air con, biggish bathroom etc and I've got to say after our shaky start we absolutely loved the rest of our stay.
Breakfast was brilliant for what we had paid and stayed open until 11.30am which was even more of a bonus, lots of choice too- cereals, fry up, toast, fruit, croissants, coffee, tea etc. The fact that it was a buffet and you could eat as much as you wanted was an absolute god send, especially after a heavy night on the town.
Room service was great too, the maids would come and clean the room whenever you wanted (you could put a sign on the door when you didn't want them to
disturb). The beds were made everyday and clean towels were always left. The staff round the pool were lovely, always cheery and couldn't do enough for you.
We even managed to get a smile out of the 'dreaded' security guard who we were really worried about after previous reviews, but in all honesty he doesn't bother you unless you're running around the hotel making loads of noise.
On our last day we had to check out at 11am and weren't getting picked up for the airport until midnight that night but the hotel were great, they provided a huge room to keep our suitcases in which is always kept locked and they have private shower rooms where you can go and freshen up.
Overall, there isn't much I can fault the hotel for and would definitely go again!!! The pool is across the road but isn't a problem and there's always plenty of sunbeds. It's public though so you always get workers round it, but I saw that as a bonus as they're all really friendly and can get you info on the best nights/ ticket prices etc. Also if you meet people on holiday that aren't at the same hotel as you they can come round the pool during the day and as for them being really strict on non-residents, we didn't have a problem, you've just got to be careful.
Location is perfect as it's only a 2 minute walk to the west end/ beach and because of the security guard you can get a decent couple of hours sleep (depending on what time you roll in after a night out).
I think if we hadn't have moved rooms this review would be the complete opposite but thanks the staff we loved every minute of our stay and we're even thinking of coming back again (something I've never done whilst staying at an 18-30 hotel). Good value for money, good location, breakfast is a god send, it's clean, staff are lovely and it has everything you could want as long as you're not expecting the ritz! What more could you ask for on a clubbing holiday :) just one piece of advice....make sure you ask for a balcony when booking!!!!!
