“A(very) good hotel(but)”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

Stayed in the Palmyra last week for the second time in two years.
Transfer time brilliant, location ditto, sea view rooms fabulous.
Staff really helpful and friendly so why the BUT?
Breakfast really excellent, but, dinner bit samey and short on ready made salads.
Rooms very clean, but, bathrooms bit tired and 28 euros bit stiff for a week safe hire.
Lovely flat screen televisions but only news channels in English.
Finally it is not possible to swop dinner for lunch on half board.
Think I would classify as 3 star+ but not 4 star although great that it's adults only.
Final point pool snacks very reasonable price wise but short on choice

Room Tip: Sea view and pool view rooms are best but loads of noise from near bye beach club can go on till th...

Well what can I say... I love this hotel! On arrival we had a very friendly greeting, we arrived on a night flight and they had saved us a meal which was really tasty. This hotel is so lovely and clean and it has such a relaxed atmosphere. The room was spacious and lovely and clean and we had asked for a sea view and did notm pay extra but they gave us a room on the side (rm 203) which had a lovely view of the sea from the side and also we had a view of the hotel swimming pool opposite.

Rooms are cleaned daily and fresh towels are put in every day.. bliss! Even if you got up late and had sent the cleaner away when you finally get up and venture out when you come back later on they had come back which is fab because previously when this has happenned in other hotels if you send them away then hard luck they wont come back.

The swimming poolin the day is so peaceful it is lovely. The sun chairs are really comfy an sturdy and for heavier people this is very reassuring and they are wooden and dont bend etc when you sit down. There are umbrellas for every 2 sunbeds which is fantastic as you dont have to fight for an umbrella. There are litle table between every 2 sunbeds aswell. The swimming pool looks out to the beach and is only seperated by the promenade. The swimming pool is very clean and refreshing and although some say it is small I thought it was just an ideal size as the only reason people really use it is to cool down or get a little excercise after lying around all day.

The staff at this hotel are so friendly and they take pride in what they do which is lovely to see. We met leoads of people who told us they come back year after year and have been doing so for a long time so this is a testimonial to how nice this hotel is. The only thing I would say is that the evening entertainment isnt the best, although the lovely and friendly entertainers try their very best and our wondeful at their job I think the entertaiment is geared to 50 + but to be honest it doesnt really matter as all the younger people (including me and my hubby who are 36 and 44) went out once the all inclusive ran out at 12 midnight so it was kind of nice to have chilled nightime before hitting the west end.

The food..... well that speaks for itself, it is very tasty and well cooked and they do different dishes each night it is a relaxed atmoshphere no fighting for a table they will serve you drinks at the table and bring a bottle of wine for you in the all inclusive etc. Lovely cant fault it.

The area is good for all ages to be honest. If you mature then you can chill out in the hotel and there is a lovely beach bar next door on the seafront which is lovely. You can walk in 10 mins or get a local taxi for about 6 euros down to the west end. The walk along the promenade isnt far and pleasant walk so I would recommend that . We tended to walk down and get a cab back but only because I had been dancing all night and to exhausted to walk back but for someone fitter woudl be no problem. The strip/ west end is fab noisy and the people trying to drag you in the bars is funny you cant move without getting pounced on and the are all trying to get you into their bar. You can get some brilliant deals though we paid 12 euros one night and got so much drink we coudlnt drink it all. even bottle of cheap champagne thrown in :)

Next to the hotel is linekars bar and I found this bar to be fun but younger and then all the food places, KFC, Burger king etc. lol home from home.

I would highly recommend Soul city if you like RnB and soul etc but their is something for everyone. We went just as the season was starting so lots of the big clubs werent open but they were really close to the hotel. It didnt matter though as plenty was open.

My husband and I are a fun loving couple and we really enjoyed ourselves here at night and loved chilling and recouperating in the day.

If you want to go for a lovely meal then I would highly recommend Villa Mercedes, rather expensive and I would advise you to book as it gets busy but well worth it. Live music is played and the food is yummy and it is rather beautiful sitting overlooking the sea and all of the yaughts. I think some of the rich jetsetters come here as the night we went there was a party for some yaughting people and they all looked rather rich and glamourous, (im not jealous).

I would also recommend taking a long slow stroll down the promenade all the way around and end up on sunset strip ... very nice.

We would definitly go back. Thank you to all the staff at this hotel and to Sexy Orlando who is a good laugh and to the fun bar staff who will drink shots with you! Love to you all!!

Room Tip: ask for a sea view or swimming pool view. you def dont not want to be at the front of this hotel as...

I stayed here with a friend in early May and we had a fabulous time! The hotel is right on the beach in a nice and busy spot along the boardwalk. There are lots of good bars within a 3 minute walk! Many boat yours also depart just outside the hotel. The pool area is really great and the large pool is kept very clean. Drinks are
served to your lounge chair which was nice! The meals offer plenty of variety, but the food is not top quality. We had a hard time with our A/C and the beds are not very comfy. Aside from those two small problems, I would recommend this hotel for sure! If you want to party in Ibiza and not pay a lot of money on your hotel, this place is great! FYI - the big clubs in Ibiza do not open until last week of May. We still had fun though, despite the off season. The suint hot weather made up for the closed bars.

I found this hotel to be the best on with a lot of research on my first holiday with my freind we wanted drinking in the night but to relax in the day the staff are amazing here and really make the hotel exquisit my two favourite is joaquim the best bar man ever always joking made a new freind there but always very proffesional also to "sexy" orlando who always made sure you were ok sometime a tint bit overbearing but on the whole a credit to the hotel food was very varied different themed nights sadly on my holiday i did contract food poisoning but NOT from the hotel food which was always cooked to a high standard the hotel were great they called a doctor and ambulance for me to go to hospital and all the staff were waiting for me when we got back service second to none in ibiza

Me and my partner booked this hotel on a late deal and got a very good price so were optimistic and didn't really know to much about the hotel before we arrived but we were greeted very well and efficiently by the receptionist after our flight was delayed which meant we didn't check in until 2:30 am on a Sunday morning! But even at this late hour we were still provided a meal and drinks which was very nice considering we had been traveling all night! We had booked a junior suite but we didn't pay he extra for a sea view but asked for one in our special requests and were given one which was very nice looking over the pool and beach! The room itself was very big and comfortable always cleaned and tidy by the staff everyday! The only down side to the room was there are no double beds available but this is just a minor flaw. The staff at the hotels were very friendly and willing to do a lot for you and always with a smile even though the seem to be working all hours. As we stayed at the start of the season the hotel was fairly quite which meant we could always get a sun bed by the pool but there are a limited number which I believe would be very crowded in the high season. There are lots of bars and restaurants close by and a few supermarkets and for a short walk around the bay you can witness the sunset at cafe del mar which is brilliant! The hotel entertainment staff were also very friendly and funny especially sexy Orlando as he likes to be called always checking your ok and offering champagne through the day for small activities. The entertainment at night however is usually by a third party and is not as good as the hotel should be showing a few of the acts were ok but others were pretty terrible and very very cheesy and a bit cringeworthy. All in all we had a very nice time and everything was very relaxed and easy I imagine thing get a lot more hectic in the high season but after all it is Ibiza!

Room Tip: It is well worth booking a suite as they are a lot more spacious and comfortable than the standard r...

Me & my wife came back to the Palmyra again, but this time at the very start of this year's season.
Nothing was too much for the staff.
Again Arturo the Head Waiter was superb. He really does make you feel like royalty and also gets his staff to look after you and serve you well, and always with a smile.
The food was superb, from breakfast through lunch to dinner. Always top quality.
The rooms were as always in good condition and always cleaned daily along with towels, bath robe & slippers.
Reception were very polite and helpful, but for one problem we encountered when my wife needed an extra room entry card, she was kept waiting for 30 minutes when checking in some new arrivals caused a delay, apologies duly followed though.

Room Tip: The hotel is generally quiet, some rooms are noisier at the front due to the road, but if you are a...

Have stayed in this hotel for 3 years in a row, everytime you are treated like kings.

Staff are brilliant, food is out of this world, location amazing as its right on the beach.

This hotel is only a short walk into San Antonio Town where you will find all he nightlife although the hotel does offer entertainment (mainly geared towards foreign nationals).

I would recommend this hotel to anyone singles/couples.

Without a doubt I will definitely be returning to this hotel.
