“Less of a holiday, more of a camp!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

Transfer dropped us off (at midnight - pitch black) about 350m away & gestured in the general hotel direction.

Hotel was very basic which was what we had expected. One plug point in the whole room. Bed linen was not changed once for a 10 day holiday.
No aircon available with temps going over mid 30's.

Fantastic location to Westend & Ibiza Rocks etc, but not worth the lack of sleep or comfort for 10 days.

Its very very basic but what more do you need? Its 5 mins from the strip, not too loud but fairly buzzing. The room was clean and it was cleaned, but given no clean sheets through the stay. The bathroom is basic, but we were given towels.

No air con but we just got ready on the balcony. Also, the hotel opposite has free WIFI so we were able to pick it up in our room. There was no pool or anything but you don't need it with one around the corner and the beach 5 mins away. The staff are friendly and helpful.

For the money, Id defo stay here again. Its nothing special, but it does the job.

Booked last minute, didn't have high hopes due to some reviews I'd seen. It was spot on, clean, roomy, bathroom was spotless. Owners and staff very friendly, no air con but we asked for a fan and were promptly given one :) wasn't overly noisy, I've stayed in a 4* hotel in Ibiza before and the noise was just as loud. No fridge but we asked for ice at the bar for our drinks. Close to everything!!! Ibiza rocks, cafe mambo and beach/west end all within 5mins walk....don't be put off by hostel, it was brilliant :) would stay again quite happily!!!

We stayed here after our first hotel was totally inadequate. It was a great improvement but was still very average and needed air conditioning badly as the heat in July kept us awake!
However very clean and friendly staff downstairs.
No gym or swimming pool, but it does have a pool table in the lounge.

Room Tip: Get one with aircon, or rent a fan which are available 9am-6pm

Hotel Cervantes is located up at the top of the west end just round the corner. It's ideally located because you're in the middle of the action yet away from the noise! There are several shops to get your booze and an English cafe to get a fry up after a heavy night. The hotel itself is 4 floors, has a lift, nice reception area (a bit dated but that's what most Spanish places are like) pool table, Internet access and friendly owners. The rooms were a decent size for 2 people, had an okay bathroom with shower and some storage. The furniture is OLD! Saw some graffiti from back in 1991 which made us chuckle. They should invest in new drawers! The rooms and bedding were clean and towels were replaced twice during our 3 night stay. Downsides are it gets very hot in the summer and there is no air-con and no fridge to keep drinks cold. We put our drinks in cold water which did the trick! It's not the grandest hotel but if you're hear for non-stop partying then it's a great base! Walk West and you come out near Cafe Del Mar, walk East and your at the bus station, walk South then you're in the famous West End! There isn't a pool but the Hotel Tropical about 10 steps across the road has an amazing pool area which is always busy and has great music playing. I would stay here again. Oh and if you need to, you can pay a small deposit and pay the rest when you get there! Total stay for 2 people / 3 nights BB (even though we didn't have any getting in at 10am every morning!) 143 euros.

Our accomodation was changed last minute to hostal Cevantes, we were originally staying near cafe mambo at Costa Mar a hotel we have used before. The plus side of this hotel is you get to use the pool at Hotel Tropical (where the rest of our group were staying), the down side is the lack of air conditioning, as we were getting in at 7 in the morning by 10 it was too hot to sleep. The hostal is handily placed for the West End and there is a bar nearby The Ship that never seems to close. Cannot comment on the breakfast at hotel as never bothered to take it. For the price, use of a pool and location the hotel is ok for a long weekend but i would not like to stay for a long period.
