Great food, has a private car park and reasonably priced. The bistecca Fiorentina was great, as were the side dishes and the Tuscan antipsto

“Delicious Tuscan Cuisine”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 7, 2013

We were recommended this restaurant for dinner by Villa Murray. We had a delicious, simple Tuscan dinner - one of the best meals on the trip thus far. Our meal included a fresh artichoke & parmesan salad, ricotta with pancetta and garbanzo beans, lamb stew, and delicious house wine. A real gem!

“So THIS is How Italian Food Is Supposed To Taste!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 10, 2013

We booked a private tour while in Livorno on a Royal Caribbean Cruise. One of the highlights was a visit to Trattoria La Baracchina for lunch. This is a family owned restaurant, serving incredible cured meats, regional cheeses, homemade pasta, freshly pressed olive oil and wine from their own vineyard.
I can highly recommend the carcioffi sott'olio (grilled artichoke hearts in garlic and olive oil), pecorino fresco e stagionato, proscuitto casalingo e affettati, pappardelle al cinghiale (tuscany's famous boar ragu - don't be afraid, it's delicious!!!) and stracci coi broccoli.
And, of course, the wine! A lovely red wine, no sulfites, just great flavor as an accompaniment with great food. And don't forget the freshly pressed olive oil, just pour it over the crusty Italian bread - heaven!!

“Beautiful View Rustic Toscana”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2013

An out of the way restaurant famous for its battered sage leaf entree. If it is not on the menu just ask and they may, if not to busy, make this dish for you.
