We booked this entire bed and breakfast for our extended family, young children, grandma and grandpa and assorted in-laws included.
First of all,Montecarlo is a spectacular place and handy if you want to explore this area, the village is tiny and cute, with a few shops and good little restaurants.A very romantic and enchanting place. After our stay,we all agree that Antica Dimora Patrizia have many possibilities to become a very good place, but needs some more love,or some more money, specially in rooms, they are average, but we think they need less touches (fabrics for example) and they lack some comfort, specially in winter time.Bathrooms are cold and old and need a shower curtain at last.A serious refurbishement is in order. All the guest rooms are in the second floor, after a very steep ladder. They have an entire first floor without use, with some ghostly rooms to explore.
The restaurant is gone, but you can order dinner. We ordered christmas dinner and was un uninspiring affair.Daily breakfast too.
At that time, management was almost new to the place and I want to sat that Bert was very Kind and helpful all the time.I think he can turn this place into a very special place, but have a good work ahead of him,but have all the ingredients : spectacular place and building. The Antica Dimora Patrizia needs only some affection.
