“Recommended by Winery...lived up to it”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 22, 2012

This "local" trattoria was recommended by our guide during our fabulous tour of the Felsina Winery. The outside is somewhat deceiving in that it does represent a local Bar and Trattoria. However, once inside you are immediately taken by the fresh decor and friendly staff. We were lucky enough to be escorted to the lower level dining area where the 10 of us were all accommodated. The well priced and surprisingly extensive menu is definitely local Tuscan with some very interesting pastas, nice salads, and, of course great wine and ice cold beer for the hot day. If you want to escape the heat outside, ask for this lower dining area. On the other hand the main floor has an equally well decorated dining area and the covered outside area will be very nice in cooler weather.

“Really liked this place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

My husband was really nervous of gong in here because it looks pretty average from the outside, but when went in it was fully booked, so the signs were already good. The waitress offered us a table for 4 outside the bar area instead which she dressed in fresh table linen and so everything was right with the world! The service was pretty good considering we were out on a limb compared to the rest of the restaurant. The food was also good honest Tuscan fare and very reasonably priced. Also a litre of house wine was 5 euros and was perfectly good. Good value and worth a return visit.

“My local favorite”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

I have been eating in the restaurant for 12 years and now live very close and come frequently.;
Good food, good wine, friendly service, and great prices. It is a family run restaurant with great hospitality. Last time I had fantastic duck and fried porcini mushrooms that were delicious. The house wine is always great and costs next nothing.

“You have to try it!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2011

This place was recommended by friends who were there some years ago. We were glad they did. We probably would not have gone in because the place looks very ordinary form the outside. But we loved it. We were there 3 nights during our stay. The food is typical Italian and very tasty. They have an excellent choice of wine and the prices are very reasonable. Staff is nice and welcoming. You have to try it.
